CuatrodeMayo 07-11-2013, 11:28 AM Seems like I heard there were going to have $.49 fountain drinks from 7am to 11 pm today. whoopee. Jersey Boss 07-11-2013, 12:00 PM https://www.7-eleven.com/ do the OKC stores participate in this? Of course not. Do you think they can just give away product when they are plowing the profits into modern well lit emporiums? OkieHornet 07-11-2013, 12:01 PM blangtang - no. cuatro - yes. 49¢ big gulps. Achilleslastand 07-11-2013, 12:06 PM Of course not. Do you think they can just give away product when they are plowing the profits into modern well lit emporiums? So the Brown family cant afford .49 cent slushies? Dubya61 07-11-2013, 12:33 PM I thought I heard Channel 5 say that it was taking place in OKC, as well. Dunno for sure. SoonerDave 07-11-2013, 12:34 PM https://www.7-eleven.com/ do the OKC stores participate in this? Nope. This is an annual source of really pointless negative PR for the local 7-11 ownership, and somehow they think $.49 Big Gulps are the same thing. It would be so easy for them to just leverage the national name and give away free ICY drinks, although I suppose its not out of the realm of possibility they're not allowed to for some contractual reason (as far as their ownership/7-11 name use "rights" are concerned). Otherwise, its just a dumb PR failing. Give away a few $$ in free icy drinks gain a ton of customer goodwill, especially at a time when OnCue and some other competitors are building bigger, nicer stores offering more and better goodies at nearly every corner...but that's just me :) bluedogok 07-11-2013, 10:17 PM We got ours today....it was busy. |
