Old friend coming through town next week. We'll be far more interested in catching up than being foodies for an eve.
Midpoint between our pillows appears to be I-240 near Western, give or take a bit.

Who is that area has the combo of acceptable chow, isn't packed at dinner 8-10+, and preferably stays open later than 10.

I'm not positive about the hours but you might try Louie's near 89th and Western.

Can't you just drive a few miles north to expand your options? It will add an additional 20 minutes round trip.

I did some Googling, and there aren't many later than 10 pm options in that area. It looks like Joes Crab Shack 240/Penn is open most nights until midnight. There's a Ted's Cafe off of Walker; their hours are not listed online. I mention them because it seems like the one in my part of town was open later. There's a Hooters north of 240 in that area, and they all tend to be open until midnight.

Flatlander's right, The Garage looks to be the latest option other than something like an IHOP. Website says it is open until 10 pm Monday through Wednesday and until 2 am the rest of the week.

The good life group is the best bet for late night dining in the metro, IMHO. Blu Fine Wine and Food, Blackbird Gastropub, and The Library all are open late. Blu serves food till 1:00am. In Norman of course but all ver reasonably priced, good atmosphere and quality. Won't have too many college kids around because of summer

Isn't there a new S&B Burgers across from Academy?

That's good to know but he is looking for suggestions in the I240 and Western area.

Old Chicago's alright, and they always have some kind of special going on.

Of course, I've mostly only had beer and appetizers there.

Old Chicago is a good suggestion. Looks like they're open until midnight every night.
