View Full Version : State Capitol Building CloudDeckMedia 09-20-2018, 12:55 PM I shot an aerial video yesterday of the project. Beautiful day. I'll share it here as soon as I am able. LuccaBrasi 09-20-2018, 01:42 PM It was recently on the news and it's actually for lifting material in regards to a new copper roof, so really not work on the dome. The crane has to rise above the Guardian, so it's pretty tall. GoGators 09-20-2018, 04:00 PM 325’ tall with 260’ radius. It will be pretty substantial. HOT ROD 09-20-2018, 04:14 PM same height as Continental Oil tower? KayneMo 09-20-2018, 04:18 PM same height as Continental Oil tower? Continental Oil Center is 262' tall. Crane will be a little taller than Valliance Bank Tower, which is 322' tall. PaddyShack 09-21-2018, 09:18 AM Drove along 23rd from Kelley westbound to Broadway and they were getting the crane up and running, the long arm was still laying on the ground when I drove by. It was quite impressive. GoGators 09-21-2018, 09:50 AM Drove along 23rd from Kelley westbound to Broadway and they were getting the crane up and running, the long arm was still laying on the ground when I drove by. It was quite impressive. That crane that is currently laying over on the ground is the crane that is being used to build the tower crane. It’s pretty impressive in itself. A 900 ton hydrolic mobile crane. It’s a beast. PaddyShack 09-21-2018, 09:54 AM That crane that is currently laying over on the ground is the crane that is being used to build the tower crane. Photographed Wednesday. 14914 No, the assembly crane was moved in and built Thursday. The tower crane was supposed to be built today and tomorrow. Obviously the weather has had other plans. PaddyShack 09-21-2018, 02:53 PM The assembly crane is giant and yellow. Last evening the arm was laying down to the north nearly crossing over 23rd where the street goes below grade.
