when i drove into downtown a few minutes ago. There was a swarm of police and unmarked vehicles that have city hall surrounded and all access blocked. Not sure what is going on there.

Anyone know what's up on the west side of DT right now? From north from the Memorial to south about Main St. by City Hall? Streets are blocked, police are out, and people are out of their office buildings. Just drove by on my way to work and couldn't figure out what's up.

Radio reports a U-Haul van was discovered abandoned near city hall. Also indicated evacuations from a cautionary standpoint. Said walking near building is also restricted.

Am sure we are all thankful it turned out to be nothing. Given the location of the abandoned stolen truck & proximity to the Memorial anniversary and the recent events in Boston, while it may seem like over reaction in hindsight, better safe than sorry.
