Anybody know where there is a good farmers market in town to get local produce? I have been to the one in Norman but found it lacking as everything seemed to come from out of state. Most big cities seem to have some really big ones.

I prefer the one at OSU-OKC.

It's still too early for them. It's not the growing season in Oklahoma yet for most things, so they don't have their stuff out yet. Give it another month and the Norman one has as TOOOOOON of local stuff. You just have to look for the right color sign.

Who said anything about "best". There are several farmers markets all around town though. We don't really have a large single one with just a ton of things though. They're smaller and more spread out here.
From my experience - OSU-OKC has more "made" things than grown. Crafts/soaps/knitting/prepared food/flowers/etc. But the actual fruits and veggies are pretty lacking and not usually as good of a price. Norman, i've found to be opposite. Norman has a ton of fruits and veggies, and not as many crafty things. Although being at the fairgrounds, they usually have more of that in the other building, which i never go in. There's a lady inside at the back-left that's my favorite, although their farm name escapes me at the moment. She and her granddaughter are some super knowledgable folks. How else would i have ever tried a watermelon radish?!
MWC had a very small one that really tried, but it just didn't have enough vendors, and being on a random weeknight did it in. Those are the days kids have their activities so it's hard to get to it, plus they closed shop up pretty early. I dont know that they'll be back, but they had a nifty token system going so you got X tokens for x $ spent, could turn them in for a re-usable bag and whatnot. Was nice to have one so close.....so even if we didn't NEED something there, we tried to get something every time we went to support it. Unfortunately, i think it didn't make it.
I'm not sure how current this is, but this lists those in town and a little blurb about them...from about.com

What is the best farmers market in the OKC area?
I think it was the OP. I could be wrong.
