Jeepnokc 06-02-2014, 12:46 PM How did you come to salvage from the Colcord?
They auctioned off each floor for salvage before they started the renovations. I knew I was going to be building a house and maybe an office so I went asn was high bidder. My house has two of the doors in it (with the colcord knobs), some of the glass and some of the marble. I have quite a bit of the glass and several of the doors left that I will be putting on craigslist for sale in July as I do not see any further need for them myself.
5alive 06-02-2014, 01:40 PM Absolutely stunning!
DavidD_NorthOKC 06-02-2014, 04:36 PM :congrats: Very nicely done.
Teo9969 06-02-2014, 07:23 PM Just absolutely killed it. What a fantastic addition to OKC.
This is the so much of why I'm proud to call OKC home.
Jeep, we need to get you on a board or commission. You've gone through this process, know the challenges and the opportunities. We need more of THIS kind of experience representing the decision-making processes in OKC.
Great idea!
Mr. Cotter 06-03-2014, 08:21 AM The building looks fantastic now, and I think it will age well. I don't plan on getting a DUI, but I may come by just to see in anyway...

Thanks (and to all the other posts). We will be doing a ribbon cutting and open house and I'll put it up here so please stop by. I sponsor a drag boat and depending on scheduling, we may have it out there also. It is race season so finding a time that it isn't in transit somewhere can be tough.
Although I specialize in DUI, the other attorneys in our firm/building handle criminal, divorce, business law and personal injury. Hopefully you still won't have a need for us.
jccouger 06-03-2014, 08:48 AM Square foot by Square foot, is this the best 2 story commercial building in OKC? I can't think of a better one.

You can tell it's a brand new building, but at the same time you can't tell at all. Great example for OKC.

shawnw 06-03-2014, 12:41 PM Agree Sid. Was marveling at this building with my sister from NYC and explain how collaborative the process was to get the building to this point.
How do we get the building, the architect, and Jeep on some lists to be considered for awards next year?

soonerguru 07-18-2014, 04:26 PM Very impressive! Sharp!
Jeep told me today they hope to move in around August 1st.
Jeepnokc 07-18-2014, 06:19 PM Electricity was turned on today. I left the lights on tonight downstairs for anyone visiting Premiere that wants to peek in the windows.
BoulderSooner 07-18-2014, 08:14 PM Such a great project. Congrats jeep.
Will took these through the window at Premier on Film Row:

kevinpate 07-20-2014, 07:50 PM Looking great!
Doesn't sound like you'll be in there yet by the 29th (my next scheduled trip.) I will try to pop by and say congrats and job well done when I am up your way the morning of 8/21, if I do not need to scoot back to Norman right away.
shawnw 07-21-2014, 08:31 AM Didn't notice it before, but I appreciate you bringing back the dated cornerstone...
betts 07-21-2014, 09:04 AM The interior matches the exterior perfectly. It's like taking a step back in time. I like to see old buildings' interiors modernized too, but I appreciate everything being done on this building.
CuatrodeMayo 07-22-2014, 10:32 AM THIS is what small-scale urban infill in OKC should look like.
Urbanized 07-22-2014, 10:34 AM It's going to really pop when all of that exterior lighting is turned on. Well done, Jeep.
They moved in over the weekend and today are open for business:

5alive 08-11-2014, 12:20 PM From the very first post to now this has been a delight to follow. One of the best projects in the city. A++++
lasomeday 08-11-2014, 01:28 PM jeepnokc, with this project a huge success and hopefully inspirational for other projects. Are we going to see more projects in the downtown area? What other projects do you have around the city?

Don't know how delightful it was in the beginning:) but it is nice to be in. We will be having a ribbon cutting and open house next month.
shawnw 08-11-2014, 02:25 PM Now build one right next store for your new downtown development consulting business...
kevinpate 08-11-2014, 10:17 PM Looks fantastic sir!
urbanCOWBOY 08-13-2014, 11:08 PM Has anyone noticed how they built their new parking lot in the alley? I don't have a picture, but someone should check that out. It shouldn't last long until the city tells them to tear it up.
Great building though!

Great building though!
Alley was abandoned by the city several years ago so it isn't an active alley and reverts back to property owners. It has been completely blocked off in the 700 block. It was looked at least three times by the city before issuing different permits. There are still easements but I am allowed to put the parking there and my fence.
We are working on a neon sign with a very reputable local sign designer and the landscaping should be coming as soon as it cools off a little so the plants have a chance to get established when it isn't 95-100 degrees
Grand opening bash in a couple of weeks:

bchris02 09-02-2014, 08:41 PM This is amazing. It totally proves that you can build new and have it fit in with the existing historic building stock. More developers should look to this as an example if building new.

Just a reminder that we are having our grand opening tomorrow. We do not anticipate having the office open during the parking lot party so if you are wanting to tour the inside, come by during the social hour or ribbon cutting. It is also Premiere on Film Row

They will soon be adding a very cool sign made by OddFab Design Lab (located in Film Row) and similar to what they did for The Mule.
Should be a great addition to Film Row and a good complement to Dunlap Codding across the street.

kevinpate 12-02-2014, 04:51 PM Nice sign design.
Sign is up! Should look great at night:

5alive 05-12-2015, 01:31 PM Love it
Jeepnokc 05-12-2015, 01:45 PM They did a great job. The sign was designed and fabricated by OddFab Design/Hugh Meade here in Film Row. Hugh's goal was to create a sign similar to the Bus Station that would eventually become a downtown landmark. The letters are LED backlit and there is a neon band around the sign. Hopefully, I will be by the office in the evening so I can get a look of it at night.
David 05-12-2015, 01:48 PM This is a pretty fascinating thread to read from beginning to end.
Great building, great process it went through to get to what was built, great sign, just all around great.
Roger S 05-12-2015, 02:08 PM I walked under that sign on my way to lunch today and thought it looked pretty sharp.

Sat out there with Jeep a couple of weeks ago, drank some beers and watched the Arts Festival crowd go by.
Fantastic view from up there.

I had a great time with Pete and was smoking a cigar out there shortly before he arrived. Feel free to come by any afternoon Urbanized for a smoke. Here is another pic of the sign from another angle. Hopefully will get night pic up soon.

Urbanized 05-12-2015, 06:53 PM Cool, thanks for the invite! I'll bring some La Gloria Cubana Reserve No 5 maduros over sometime if that floats your boat. My go-to smoke, and I have a humidor full.
Jeepnokc 05-12-2015, 07:09 PM That works. If you are a bourbon drinker...we actually have our own single barrel of Jack that we bought last year so there are a few bottles floating around the office among other libations
Jeep forwarded this nice shot of their new sign:

jccouger 06-01-2015, 02:12 PM Wow.
As amazing as that place is, its one place I hope I never have to step inside haha
Spartan 06-02-2015, 12:33 AM Above all, I really hope that the market that is in need of legal services responds well to this A+ community presence.
betts 06-02-2015, 08:49 PM I showed someone this building who'd never been to film row and they couldn't believe it was new. I can't really think of higher praise. This sign really knocks it out of the park.
Jeepnokc 01-11-2017, 03:57 PM The HLG Building has been nominated for the 2016 ULI (Urban Land Institute) Oklahoma Impact Awards. We are enjoying our building and are honored to be nominated.
