Pete 02-07-2022, 03:39 PM Any idea when this will be built? The Chick Fil A planned for the SW corner of Memorial and Rockwell has not even filed for their building permit as of yet, and once they do, there is usually 2-3 months before it is approved and work can start. Bowser214 07-05-2022, 12:33 PM Looks like they're starting on classen & NW Hwy location. Bill Robertson 07-05-2022, 01:09 PM We sure have missed ours at NW Exp & Rockwell. Looks like it might still be a while. Still lots of construction going on. Pete 07-05-2022, 02:44 PM Looks like they're starting on classen & NW Hwy location. Yes, they are: HTTP://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/chikfila070522a.jpg stlokc 07-05-2022, 09:48 PM Yes, I know it will kill it there and the free market reigns supreme but I’ll just say it again, what a poor land use decision for that piece of property. Plutonic Panda 07-05-2022, 10:11 PM Yes, I know it will kill it there and the free market reigns supreme but I’ll just say it again, what a poor land use decision for that piece of property. They could and should have built mixed use multi story here with Chick-fil-A at the bottom. OKC developers aim the bar low far too often and yes I know there’s exceptions. Mississippi Blues 07-05-2022, 10:47 PM I’m not sure how well Oklahoma City could support such similar developments so close together but something akin to the OAK development might fit here. It’s easy to imagine neat developments when it’s all in your head and the numbers don’t matter, so to attempt to stay rooted in reality I just take solace in the prospect that if this area could support higher use than a few mid chain restaurants, eventually that will take shape. That’s my (naïve) hope anyways. corwin1968 07-06-2022, 01:47 PM Someone here mentioned that they thought a Chik-Fil-A was being built in the Rose Creek development at NW 164th & May. Has anyone heard verification of this? Pete 07-06-2022, 01:50 PM Someone here mentioned that they thought a Chik-Fil-A was being built in the Rose Creek development at NW 164th & May. Dirt work for the memorial location has begun today Martin 09-15-2022, 07:45 AM i overheard an employee chat with a delivery driver this morning at the i-240 location... apparently this location will close soon for renovations that will take around 3 months. Plutonic Panda 09-15-2022, 09:29 AM ^^^^ weird as that location seemed to be in pretty good shape. Bill Robertson 09-15-2022, 09:33 AM ^^^^ weird as that location seemed to be in pretty good shape. So was NW Expressway. Must be a design update of the older stores regardless of condition. Bill Robertson 09-15-2022, 09:36 AM i overheard an employee chat with a delivery driver this morning at the i-240 location... apparently this location will close soon for renovations that will take around 3 months. If it's the same renovation plan as NW Expressway it's going to take longer than 3 months. It's been that long or longer already and it doesn't look close to being done. It's been that long or longer already and it doesn't look close to being done. 240 had recently already had some renovations. I swear it had already closed briefly in recent years. 240 did already have the covered two lane ordering area where as nw expressway did not so maybe 240 doesn’t have as much updating needed? therhett17 09-21-2022, 05:47 PM 17666 Looks like construction has commenced for the location on North Rockwell Bill Robertson 09-22-2022, 05:12 AM NW Expressway is open! Bill Robertson 09-23-2022, 03:15 PM There's a roll off dumpster in the parking lot of the West 1-40 store that wasn't there yesterday. I wonder if they're doing city-wide store updates. shartel_ave 09-23-2022, 04:03 PM What about the chick fil a by milagros mexican restaurant were NW expressway and classen meet? ChrisHayes 09-23-2022, 07:17 PM A great place for Chik Fil A would be next to Tacos Don Nacho on Council, across from Hobby Lobby. There's plenty of room for it, and they would make a killing there with thousands of people working along Council from I-40 to SW 59th Street, along with thousands in the nearby neighborhoods. mugofbeer 09-27-2022, 10:19 AM [whispered voice} If you fry it, they will come....... She can get there from work in about 5 minutes and she's really trying to lose weight. AnguisHerba 10-16-2022, 04:34 PM They need to eliminate the entrance/exit onto NW 50th from Classen southbound. Traffic can still exit onto Classen southbound from NW 51st and Expressway westbound from NW 50th. The entry/exit doesn't add any value and will be a huge headache once there's something people actually want to visit in large numbers on NW 50th. kukblue1 10-16-2022, 08:49 PM There's a roll off dumpster in the parking lot of the West 1-40 store that wasn't there yesterday. Look how long that drive-thru area goes along that whole property. Pete 11-27-2022, 11:33 AM This is the NW Ex/Classen site from this morning. Bad photo but you can see they are almost finished. OCPD needs to have a permanent presence controlling the traffic in the area now like they do when Paycom lets out for the day. NavySeabee 01-09-2025, 05:27 AM Looks like Chick-Fil-A will be adding a store at 2901 SW 104th. Tavia 01-09-2025, 06:19 AM This would be amazing! Martin 01-09-2025, 07:37 AM that's the northwest corner of the intersection. okc's permitting system does have a storm water quality/land disbursement record at that address that states it's for a "freestanding chick-fil-a." SoonerDave 02-08-2025, 09:38 AM OKC building permits show a new Chick-fil-A restaurant is going in on the NW corner of SW 104 and May Avenue. The $2.5 million project will have an outdoor seating patio and drive thru area, but appears to be different from the design of others in the area. |
