I'd really just like mine to repaired. I don't want to give it back and I don't want the money.

The website says somewhere they have the option to fix it but do not currently have a solution to fix the problem. corwin1968 04-21-2017, 05:28 PM I've had one Taurus and it just wasn't reliable enough for me. I'm not going to trust my life to something I don't fee like is going to go bang every time I pull the trigger. For me I always stick with the big boys, S&W, Springfield, Ruger, and Glock. Pretty much all my guns with the exception of my Mossberg 500 are one of those brands. You definitely get what you pay for. I'm well aware there are other guns by other manufacturers that are just as reliable, but as a rule of thumb, especially when I'm recommending one to a friend, I always say stick with those brands and you'll never be disappointed. I used to not be so brand picky, but recently I went through all my guns and if they couldn't reliably shoot any ammo, no matter how crappy or dirty, I got rid of them. I agree with 100% with the sentence red and it's why my Glock is the only handgun I've owned for years and sits on my nightstand every night. I've heard good things about the PT92's, which are built on Beretta tooling, by ex-Beretta workers in a formerly-Beretta factory. The biggest advantage I've seen mentioned for the Taurus is that the safety/decocker is on the frame, while a Beretta's is on the slide. My gun has the magazine that was in it when my dad bought it plus three Beretta magazines that required some machining to work in a Taurus. I took it to the range yesterday and put 126 rounds thru it (30 thru each mag + six spare rounds to finish off a box of ammo) and it not only functioned flawlessly, it was much more fun to shoot than my Glock. It hasn't earned the right to replace my G19 yet but once I've put a thousand or so rounds thru it, I might have a "new" gun on my nightstand. |
