Going up to Tulsa today to see The Who at BOK tonight. Staying at the Hardrock so it should be a good time.

Who? Right: The Who. The Who's on first? No We're on First . . . Then Them . . . Who's the Who? They are . . .

(i hope that you picked up on the subliminal envy there . . . and that you have a wonderful time...)

in case you missed the fact that Them was a real band . . .

I saw them in Denver night before last. Great show. They seemed to really enjoy performing Quadrophenia in it's entirety.

Is Iron Butterfly still on the road?
(or simply the windshield?)
Loved that drum solo . . . =)

(still envyin' =)
I'd walk more than a mile for THIS Camel . . . but only if they appeared at the MellowRock Kaffe (and kasino) . . . =)

which may have something to do with a bit of resistance to driving to Tulsa for anyone other than Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull and/or the John Mayall Band.

(my envy has now turned to covetousness . . . =)

I might even take the express train to Tulsa to see this guy (who never once smashed a guitar or a record chart in his life)
as long as the venue was it a suitably appropriatly arty part of town--like over around the Philbrook or that other museum of history.

If they had a VZD's or Blue Door up there, I'd even try to find a way to be there in order to see this band live.

('zackly whut's a BOK?)

whoa! just remembered! The opening act for the band in the last clip, above, was Gill Crease and The KhakiDockers!

(i will respond to my covetous anger at not getting to go to Tulsa by recording both the Thunder Game and Thunder Boom while attending a Dance Competition at Rose State College. =)

THEM made the best "Gloria". Annoys the heck out of me how radio stations prefer the Shadows of Knight version.

So . . . was it? (a should be good time . . . at the Hardrock . . . up t' Tulsa?)
(inquirin' memes wants t' know . . . =)
(i'm so overwhelmed by envy that i almost forget Jethro Tull at Red Rocks. It was a riot.)
(have you ever heard of Saxondale? good stuff on vid: "i'm a groupie for the Who" . . . the who? . . .wha'?)

envy: see above, like, up there . . . =)

Kelroy: Did I forget to mention that I hope it was all that you expected? If not, I apologize. For real.
(even a "bad"/semi-tribute band/who is worse than no who at all.)

It was a great show and they sounded great. The opening band was Vintage Trouble and I was pretty impressed by them too. The Hard Rock was a fun place to stay and the GF did some slots but I didn't do any gambling.

Glad that Tulsa didn't totally suck . . .
It would probably suck less with a high speed railway . . .
Avoiding the boring, rolling, turnpike up-n-downs . . .
On the way to Who . . . where, what, why, and how? =)

Yet . . . Somehow . . . The "Out o' State/out o' date" local timestampers from boulder to birmingham to atlanta" might not get that.
(still envyin' . . . after all these years . . . blimey! the pope retired n' meteors r' hittin' the rooskies! =)

(no kiddin' no snark: glad you had a happy vtd with your gf/gfbbf/bffg/etc.)

hope that the lack of gambling was offset by an appropriate amount of gamboling . . .
wow. the who. tulsa.

A high speed rail would have been great, especially on the trip back the next morning. Again, it was a great concert, not my video but from the same tour...
