I just recently moved into an apartment in far northwest Oklahoma City around the quail springs area and I was wondering if there is any place I could seek shelter if I needed to this spring? I know most public shelters are nonexistent these days due to liability and lack of space. Just trying to plan ahead.

When I lived in Quail Ridge, we usually just went over to the mall to take shelter.

Yes, behind the food court counters in the mall, reinforced concrete walls sub ground level. We were there for the tornado that went from Lake Hefner thru Edmond in 1986.

I live in an apartment up that way and was told to go to the food court in the mall. I am not sure if they are open in the middle of the night, though.
