Oklahoma is home to many fault lines. The two most active areas for the 2012 period was the earthquake swarm zone just to the Northeast of Oklahoma City. The most noticed area was along the previously thought dormant Wilzetta Fault line to the east of the Oklahoma City area. This is also know as the Seminole Uplift.

I know this isn't in Oklahoma, but according to Fox News a 7.7mag earthquake has prompted Tsunami warning for B.C. and parts of Alaska.

The magnitude 7.5 quake did generate a tsunami, but the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center said the waves didn't pose a threat.

Apparently it shook Mark Rogers on the Sports Animal. BBJ did some digging and said they rated it at 3.4.

We've felt two today - one at 10:56 and another about 11:35. They rattled the house and sent the cats running in crazed circles.

They may be relatively light in magnitude, but our house is showing the strain. Small cracks opening in plaster and doors won't latch right. Thinking it's time to add earthquake coverage to insurance policy!

Our house is showing the same symptoms although we're in far northwest OKC and have not felt any tremors since the 5.6 one months ago. And the door symptoms vary, day to day, depending on temperature and humidity!

Just had an awesome shake over at NW 122nd & MacArthur! Lasted for a good 15 seconds! My heart was beating fast with that shake rattle and roll!!

Ditto for here in the nw okc area.........the pups went bonkers!

Felt it in Moore. It was quick, though.

Felt like someone drove into my apartment building. One good, jarring shake followed by some rattling.

Yikes. The earth just quaked. How big was that one? Must have been at least a 4.0.

The jolt woke me up but the rest of the shake was pretty tamed.

Wow, pretty decent shaking over here on NW 10th an Meridian, I lived on the 18th floor at the Regency in dt OKC during the 5.6 quake,and that one made the tower sway and could barely stand.Whats the magnitude of this one?

Im guessing 4.3-4.5 on that one based on past experience.

Agreed, my house groaned a little too.

Considering the wide area this was felt (here in Moore all the way to waking my sister up in Tulsa) I am also very surprised by the 3.0 estimate.

If I'd been down in a tornado shelter it would probably have been extra "scary" . . .

Considering the wide area this was felt (here in Moore all the way to waking my sister up in Tulsa) I am also very surprised by the 3.0 estimate.

They are now listing a 4.3 and a 3.0 roughly eleven minutes apart

3.0 was apparent foreshock of the 4.3. Twitter report came through of an aftershock but haven't seen anything yet. Looks like as far away as Wichita felt this one.

It would be crazy if this 4.3 is a foreshock, just like the other earthquake before the Nov. 6 one in 2011.

If memory serves me right, these are happening about 40 miles or so further north than the 3 decent ones we had back in 2011. These seem to be more centered where the quake swarm has been ongoing for a few years now.

My cousin's buddy who lives in Lawton felt that 4.3....so from what I understand, that would be the furthest reading based on what I have read thus far.
