I highly doubt that Meinders is only planning retail with a loft above.

I don't know if Meinders is where it ends, is what I'm speculating..
But is property is way too prime.

For some history on the building and the family that ran Fentriss Sound out of that place for decades, check out this article (http://newsok.com/hearing-echoesbrspan-classhl2fentriss-sound-leaves-downtownspan/article/2997110) from The Oklahoman from 2007. Jim Fentriss was perhaps my favorite Automobile Alley board member when I also served on the board and later worked for the organization. Just a wonderful, friendly, helpful guy who was at the time very enthusiastic about the changes that began happening in the district in the '90s. The inside of that place really was something, too. It would have made for a great episode of American Pickers.

It is a very prime property, indeed. As to your first sentence, is Meinders purchasing and holding for something bigger?

May just be general renting/storage as I don't know what the current use is for these structures as they are 95% inactive.
But last night around 10-11pm there was multiple freight trucks behind this building doing what looked to be loading items out of the building. I thought it was an odd time to be doing such.

Are there updates on this project? There's been a lot of activity on this lot over the past week or so and it looks like they've removed some of the structures

I saw the demolition permit for the one metal building, but not anything else.

If there is something bigger, i'm not sure what would fit there. It's not like there's anything connected that he can buy up? More like if he's holding it in case Block 42 wants to expand? It's land-locked with walnut/4th/and the on ramp.
It could be demo'd to make room for a decent sized apartment project if it included its own garage (cause who's gonna live there without parking). Is that what you're maybe thinking?
