Why doesn't Oklahoma City, or even Oklahoma have a Boston Market? They are all over Texas, especially in Dallas. They even have one in Topeka, and in Omaha, so why not Oklahoma City? I also think it would do well in Norman, Moore, or Edmond.

Isnt Boston Market owned by McDonalds?

McDonald's sold it a few years ago. It's owned by the company that owns Fazoli's now. I don't know why they don't expand to Oklahoma, it'd probably be a good fit. But I guess when you make that mistake once, a company will be shy about expanding again.

Boston Market went into bankruptcy in 1998 after expanding way too fast... Had a ton of them here in California and about half of them closed.

McDonald's owned them for a while before selling to a private ownership group.

We had one near our house in Houston. It was great for a change of pace, instead of a burger or pizza. There's one near my sister in laws house in the DFW area. A couple of years ago, while my father in law was ill, and we were spending countless hours, days at the hospital, it was great to just stop by Boston Market and grab a quick, hot meal with actual vegetables, that we could take back to her house and eat before we collapsed. We have commented many times since we've lived here that we wished there was one here. I love their cinnamon apples.

I can't remember ever having bad food form them when I lived up North. However it is bound to happen from time to time.

No. It's like KFC except with rotisserie chicken instead of fried.

I had eaten food from a Dallas Boston Market many times in the late 80’s and found it very satisfactory at the time. About 6 or 7 years later my wife and I went back and it was terrible.

I saw one someplace on my trip to DFW area just this weekend while attending the OU TCU game and I though back to when it was good. I decided there were just too many other places to try that were new to me.

To me that it a lot about the franchise ownership, I really liked Steak 'n Shake when I had it in Missouri and points further north, the ones in Dallas were pretty good when they first opened. The first one on Austin opened up on our side of town and we gave it many chances but was nowhere close to the others that I have tried.

The Boston Market location in Austin and up here in Denver (where they are based) have always been good.

Boston Market is great IMO! My favorite is their Rotissere Chicken! I love their sides like red new potatoes, steamed vegetables and their sweet potato casserole. I really love their creamed spinach, however, I try not to order it very often as it is very high in calories. The nice thing about BM is you can eat healthy for a relatively reasonable price. Their turkey is also good. I could see BM work in Edmond or Norman but not so sure about any other place in the OKC metro area.
