The average of the two years listed for Edmond is still below the national average per year per person for their population, with the baby boomers starting to get over sixty-five it will probably trend up over the coming years as well.

Is the significant spike related to baby boomers, or teens, or spread across several age brackets. The numbers, attempts and completions alike, seem up there, but I admit I'm a tad sensitive to the subject.

I'd also be interested to see if there was some sort of "copy cat" connection, say, with a lot of kids or something. Sad for the families and sad for the people who reached the point where they took that step.
