View Full Version : Does anyone know
Charlie40 10-24-2012, 08:19 AM Does anyone know whats going on with the old Best Buy location at Crossroads? There is a construction trailer out by the loading dock and there is work going on on the outside things around back have been removed and looks like there is plywood up where the car audio installation bay used to be around back.
Lindsay Architect 10-24-2012, 07:38 PM If they tore some of those buildings down anyone under 25 would realize there is a mall back there. Or could be a mall.

Saw that, too, and noticed some of the facade being removed was revealing the original Hibbett Sports logos on the side of the building. Not sure how many remember it was originally a sporting goods store :)
Looks as though it was purchased by a Colorado investment group and is being remodeled at least in part for non-retail use:

grandshoemaster 11-26-2012, 04:18 PM It looks like they are putting in movie poster displays. Could this be the new dollar movies?

That would not make any sense if they turn into a movie theater since there is 2 movie theaters close by
grandshoemaster 11-27-2012, 10:13 AM When I say "new dollar movies", I mean as a replacement of the old one.

Originally, meaning the first time it opened, it was Hibbett Sports. Then OKC Sports, then Jumbo Sports, then kaput.
The original was pretty darned cool, because I went in there and you could buy scoreboards!! They actually had a floor model where you could see what the thing looked like. You won't see that at an Academy or a Dick's Sporting Goods.

The building looks too small to turn into a dollar movie

You haven't been to the movie theater in Chickasha!
Talk about tiny.
TechArch 11-27-2012, 12:42 PM I just drove by today and saw a sign that said "Coming Soon: Heritage College".

kevinpate 11-27-2012, 02:42 PM Fergitabout DQ. Have some ribs at Jake's and then enjoy the show. Or, wait until the weekend and hit the Chief Drive-in. Like the Winchester in OKC, it's a dying breed but still a fun eve. The Chief remains open year round on weekends. the Chief Drive-In Theatre (http://www.chiefdriveintheatre.com/showtimes.asp)
