Pete 07-29-2022, 07:36 AM Pete - can I repost on social with photo cred to you/okc talk? This a great photo. Please, not yet. I'll post on social media in the next few days then you can share. Pete 07-29-2022, 07:38 AM Love this!! Did you take lessons on how to take such great shots? Or is it more of 'learn as you go' type of process? Completely self-taught. Just look at some of my earlier photos and drone shots and you'll see the difference! A huge part of it is being in the right spot at the right time. I'll often go out several times on the same day or over a period of days to capture the right lighting, timing, etc. bucktalk 07-29-2022, 07:56 AM Completely self-taught. Your photos enable you to speak colorful words by using your talents. Much appreciated! Pete 07-29-2022, 08:07 AM As it's been said "I picture/photo paints a thousand words...." Your photos enable you to speak colorful words by using your talents. Much appreciated! I love sharing all this and having people be proud of and excited about OKC. I post some of these on my personal social media where I have a ton of friends in California and across the U.S. None of them can believe these photos are from Oklahoma City. Pete 05-18-2023, 02:43 PM I really like that 2nd one because in addition to the CBD you can see Paycom Center, The Omni, the convention center, Scissortail Park, Skydance Bridge, Bricktown, Boathouse Row and even the First Americans Museum. Laramie 05-18-2023, 05:38 PM The second pic is my preference of the two. Even the parking garages glow. HOT ROD 05-19-2023, 01:36 PM yes, 2nd should be the Oklahoma City panorama shot for NBA Thunder games. Anonymous. 05-22-2023, 05:11 PM Does the newly renovated Crystal Bridge do lighting themes? Seems the entire block Myriad Gardens is especially dark at night. Bowser214 05-22-2023, 05:12 PM Great shots! Pete 08-06-2023, 08:11 AM I like the way the buildings all line up from this angle... You can even see Leadership Square and the Omni: http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/skyline080523a.jpg bucktalk 08-06-2023, 11:57 AM I like the way the buildings all line up from this angle... HOT ROD 08-06-2023, 01:22 PM in a few months, zoom out to the left a little to include citizen tower and this pic angle becomes even more impressive. stlokc 08-06-2023, 09:18 PM That really is the “money shot” angle that shows OKC in the most significant light. I’m trying to determine where the Dream/Boardwalk project will be in this shot. Between Oklahoma Tower and Devon, I suspect? SEMIweather 08-07-2023, 09:39 AM That is my favorite angle of the skyline. If you ever want to see it in person at ground level, both of the circled parking lots in the below image are pretty good for it. 18214 Pete 08-07-2023, 09:42 AM That is my favorite angle of the skyline. Way back at the beginning of this thread, this was a photo I took from the top of that St. Anthony garage: http://www.okctalk.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2023&d=1345447597 SEMIweather 08-07-2023, 10:01 AM Way back at the beginning of this thread, this was a photo I took from the top of that garage Love that. Really shows what a positive effect it'll have on the skyline if/when Devon gets their LED lighting fixed (feeling better about that happening given the testing they did back in June). You can get some really cool sunset effects there now off of the BOK Park Plaza (attaching an admittedly low-quality photo I took last summer, but it's good enough to get the idea). 18215 Urbanized 08-07-2023, 01:00 PM That really is the “money shot” angle that shows OKC in the most significant light. More like between FNC and Oklahoma Tower, and even a bit behind FNC in that pic. If you look closely you can see the top of the U-Haul building in that pic. goldenHurricane22 09-17-2023, 12:26 AM 18263 HFAA Alum 09-17-2023, 02:09 AM 18263 https://www.okctalk.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=18263&d=1694928343 That is a fairly nice view from the parkside Teo9969 09-17-2023, 09:43 PM One of the best views of the skyline got gobbled up by Maywood 1. That view was straight up incredible, and if someone was smart, they'd build a 6+ story building on the flat iron site (we'll see if that whole project ends up happening). I suspect that the views from Convergence will be equally as good. Last night I was coming home up I-35/I-235 around 11:30. Can I just say that if we could get 10 buildings throughout downtown built to the height of the cranes at The Citizen, downtown would feel HUGE. Would much prefer 10 buildings of that size than 2 40+ story towers (unless those 40+ story towers are coming with new to market Fortune 500 HQs which we could desperately use in the coming decade). Teo9969 09-17-2023, 09:49 PM http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/UnFrSaKn/Downtown%20OKC/null.jpg The Oklahoma City I want to see twenty years from now looks like this: One or two new towers on the Stage Center site to the west, Devon Energy Center to the north, convention center with high rise to the south and residential towers to the east where the Cox Convention Center used to be. Making Myriad Gardens into a miniature Central Park like in NYC. This shot even today would be amazing, but I think in 10 years a side by side would be so hard to fathom. A perspective you don't get to see that often. HOT ROD 12-04-2023, 05:18 PM we should send these pics to ESPN and TNT to use for OKC Thunder games. The current pics they are using are years old and do not show OKC as vibrant as it actually is (as shown in Pete's pics). HOT ROD 12-21-2024, 03:14 PM the first and second pic is Money Shot for Oklahoma City. Can you give them to ESPN and TNT so they show something recent, awesome, during OKC broadcasts. Now if we can get the original towers proposed for The Boardwalk in Bricktown constructed; our skyline will shine without the Legends supertall tower. Tyson 01-02-2025, 04:13 PM I really thought Bricktown would have developed more by now - especially the big lot in front of the Coca Cola Events Center or whatever the hell it is now. I have wondered how that has stayed vacant this long. Would be a huge deal to get something impressive built right there.
