View Full Version : OnCue OKC Expansion

Thanks Pete, appreciate the reply. Guess they will get business going both ways on I-44 with one being on the SW119th Street exit as well.
Rixon75 01-05-2022, 11:50 AM Does anyone know what is being built off of Memorial just west of the Broadway Extension/Kelly? I bank at the BancFirst adjacent to it and they said it was a gas station. I assume it's an OnCue as there is a new 7-11 just east of the Broadway Extension on Memorial.

It is indeed a new 7-11.
I suppose they believe both will be profitable as they are on opposite sides of Broadway Extension.

How bizarre. I work 1/8th mile straight south of that. The intersection/I-235 on-ramp is a total disaster due to westbound traffic wildly swerving over two lanes of traffic once they realize the on ramp for I-235 South is on the Northside of the intersection, and the train is 200 yards west of the intersection. Adding this 7-11 will make it a 3 ring circus.
Thanks for the info!
OnCue has submitted a building permit application for the site at NW 13th & Western.
You can see the plan is to remove that weird island at the intersection.

The plans they submitted did not include an interior floor plan, but all their new locations have a grill and they have even gone back and retrofitted several locations.

Just curious, is Scooters and OnCue related in any way?
No they aren't. Scooters started in Nebraska.

I'm just hoping the intersection modifications go well, otherwise it'll be a traffic mess on par with their NW Expressway/Blackwelder and NW 39th/St Clair locations.

How they haven't fixed this yet is incredibly frustrating.

Just experienced this (NWX/BW) last week for the first time. What a mess.

Yes a big mess during regular hours. Now you add the Scooters Coffee that's right across Blackwelder. Anymore I just go out the back of the lot and go south down Blackwelder an tool around the neighborhood to 39th or hit 48th from there and cut over to Classen.
shawnw 01-16-2022, 04:34 PM I was there during open hours for scooters, was in a long line at the light that was blocking cars from turning into scooters, which was in turn blocking cars from turning into oncue.
I'm sure the neighbors have noticed the uptick in cars escaping via the neighborhood.

You think you hate it now, but wait until the Chick-Fil-A opens up across the street on the access road/NW50 by McDonalds and Classen.

Need to get rid of that small triangle of land and make that intersection like NW 63rd and NW Expressway except a 3 way instead of a 4 way
BoulderSooner 04-19-2022, 11:36 AM Need to get rid of that small triangle of land and make that intersection like NW 63rd and NW Expressway except a 3 way instead of a 4 way
there is a business that just opened on that land
I was at the OnQue in Mustang @ HWY 152 & Sara Road and got a cup of coffee.
Absolutely postively the worse cup of coffe I've ever tried to drink in my life! Complete utter crap, a waste of $1.51 FWIW.
I took 2 sips and that was more than enough. Awful.
It didn't look right coming out of the machine, it gave an appearance of being way too light colored, althought it was the 100% Colombian in the machine that grinds it up and makes it.
I got down the road about a mile before I took a sip, and wasn't able to get back to them. I just tossed it in the trash when I stopped somewhere else.

In the image you quoted with the latest plan (which I posted) it clearly shows that triangle is to be removed and the intersection reworked.

They’re doing just that based on the diagram you quote posted, no?

OnCue's are just a sub par rip off of QT.
And truthfully C-Store coffees are just overpriced drip coffees. You can get better at home.

Sorry, nothing about the blueprint schematics you post are clear to me I'm not a civil engineer I'm a network engineer.
shawnw 04-20-2022, 11:05 AM I was recently, for the first time, in a car going to the scooters across from the future OnCue location at 13th and I predict this scooters/oncue combo will be a worse situation than the blackwelder scooters/oncue, at least when scooters is busy. We were approaching from the south, norhtbound on western. Between the cars in line at scooters, the cars trying to get out of the scooters driveway (on western), and the cars trying to get into the scooters driveway (on western) from both the south and the north, it was an exercise in frustration. And that's without oncue traffic. Closing the sliplane won't actually help that much as you'll still have people coming from classen southbound turning onto western and trying to turn left into scooters. Meanwhile from both directions people waiting to get into oncue will have to wait for the people getting in and out of scooters.....

A large cup of coffee at McDonald's is 99 cents using the app. I get mine with 3 creams and a Splenda and it's drinkable 95% of the time. If it isn't, I can usually doctor it to my liking. Best deal in town on coffee!

I wonder if the machine was malfunctioning. I think the OnCue coffee is one of the better offerings on the market and i go there just for that. I have never had weak or thin coffee there.

For convenience store coffee I agree it is some of the better out there.... Only issue I've ever had is the grounds needing to be emptied from the machine I want coffee from.

So far for me Stella Nova is the best coffee I've had in OKC but I haven't tried eote yet. Classen coffee co and elemental aren't bad but they don't have drive thrus

We use Classen Coffee's drive-through almost weekly.

My bad, didn't realize they had a drive thru, have they always had one? Classen coffee co.? The white coffee shop? I had no clue and I've been there a few times haha. I'll have to check it out again

It is actually kind of discreet and if there are no cars in line when you walk in, it's not very noticeable.
turnpup 04-30-2022, 11:29 AM For convenience store coffee I agree it is some of the better out there.... Only issue I've ever had is the grounds needing to be emptied from the machine I want coffee from.
I've learned how to do this so I don't have to wait for the staff to notice it (because there's only one dispenser with decaf and oftentimes it's the one that needs to be emptied): Just behind where you place your cup you'll see a little handle. Simply pull it toward you and a metal grounds container will slide out. It can easily be dumped into the trash and slid back in. It automatically resets the machine after you do that and you're good to go!
What I especially enjoy about the OnCue coffee setup (at most of the newer locations) is how they have all the large containers of different flavored creamers and half-n-half. It's so easy to get exactly what you want, and you don't have to open up a bunch of tiny individual packets.
It seems it's been quite a while since they've announced a new store location.
For a while it seemed as if they were getting started all over the place.
^
They don't announce new locations, we just find things that are planned in a variety of ways.
I count 41 in OKC and the immediately surrounding area.
They've just opened a bunch of them and are currently under construction at NW 39th & Kilpatrick Turnpike and SW 104th & I-44.
Planned are N. May just north of NW Expressway, NW 13th & Western, 3850 S. Prospect (I-35 and Grand), 7901 S. Peebly Road and they also own land at SW 15th and I-44.
They've recently opened a Houston location and are planning more in Texas.
Plutonic Panda 05-01-2022, 06:26 PM I wish they’d build in SoCal.

They are moving pretty fast on the 104/I44 location. I drive by it everyday and looks like they have the pad laid out for concrete this week. Excited to have an On Cue here but not excited ii is a truck stop. Hopefully they can figure a way for the traffic to flow better but not sure how they can do that. .
DowntownMan 05-05-2022, 05:12 PM Just some advice if you don’t know already. If you use oncue often for fuel, you should download the Phillips 66 app and link it to your bank account. With mobile pay that most pumps now take, you can get 25 cents off a gallon thru 9/30 and probably extended. They do that promotion pretty much constantly. This is promotion by Phillips 66/ ConocoPhillips not oncue beyond that is the brand they sell

Tap to Pay (at the pump) does not work at NW 178th and Western. I don't think it has ever worked there.
Tap to pay works fine inside at the register.
