The Garage was home to the Norton-Johnson Buick Company and the art-deco structure is a prominent reminder of the city's original "Dealership Row."

Renovated in 1995, this historical building is now home to The Garage Loft Apartments, consisting of 24 units, each with its own unique character. Units range in size from 800 to 2600 square feet, each with individual character consisting of height, light, texture, expansive windows, high open ceilings and exposed building elements.

Smallest floorplan of 762. Has anyone been in contact with this group to find out what they rent for?

I looked at one there about 10 years ago and they were wanting $1300

I recommended these to a friend who was looking into moving from Edmond. There is a waiting list of about 42 people as of this summer. This for a building with 24 units, so do the math. He was quoted at $1000/month for a bit under 1000 sq ft.

Should you get in, they are cheaper per square foot than the Midtown Renaissance buildings, but the finishes are not as high quality IMO.

Yeah, I imagine they've had to come down in the last decade, because so much more competition, and as you stated the finishes aren't as nice.

I don't think they have ever actually reduced their rent. Back around '97 or so a good friend lived in a unit that is identical to the one pictured in the thumbnail at the top of the page (left thumbnail...I'm pretty sure it's the exact apartment). He paid around $800 or $900/mo, if memory serves. Of course in '97 that was very high rent for just about any apartment in OKC, but obviously less than the numbers being mentioned on here for today's pricing.

I had a unit there in 2002 on the 2nd floor that was right around 1000sf and I think it rented for like $800 a month. Downside was that they would powerwash the garage portion periodically and some of it would go under the threshold for the entry door, some of it found its way through the cracks in the concrete slab above too. I tired to lease another unit in like 2009 and they didnt allow pets anymore. kinda strange for a place with corrugated metal wainscot and concrete slab floors.
