Having a drink there today after work. I'll post a pic or two.

Mr. Cecil wonders if you're ready to share your closeups.

We had a drink on the patio with the intent of enjoying the view of the lake. The patio was previously only covered by a roof and entirely open to the lake view, but is now enclosed by a low wall topped by glass garage doors. The tradition continues in which they ring a bell and raise the screens at sunset, but due to the wall and garage doors, the view is greatly restricted. This photograph is looking south.

And as this photograph will attest, the lagoon to the north of Red Rock is all but completely drained.

While I appreciate the innovative use of overhead doors to add to the functionality of the patio--despite the indirect viewing ambiance cost--how was the food? As good or better than ever?

I ate there last night and it was really great. Looks to be the same menu. I had the beef special, ribeye with blue cheese and a cab reduction. It was fantastic!

We didn't eat - just a drink after work - but I was told they didn't change the menu at all. The decor was virtually unchanged as well. Great news on both counts.

The third leg under the stool was Red Rock's an almost unparallelled view for a metro restaurant. That they DID change, and in my opinion, not for the better. The trade-off is they gained year-round seating for around 32 guests, but gave up a killer view for everyone.

Interesting they didn't choose to go with any upgrades to the building.

I'm so glad to hear that they didn't try to "improve" on near perfection.

You would be hard pressed to find anything they could improve on. This place is awesome! The ribeye is amazing, best I've had in OKC or anywhere for that matter.
