A few days ago, Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips posted a series of Tweets in which he called OKC artist Rick Sinnett a scam artist and a deadbeat. Since Wayne and Rick were in business together at the womb, I assume there's some truth to the claim; I can't imagine Wayne leveling an attack like that without good reason. Some of the Tweets have been deleted, but the two below are still up at this time. Sinnett was supposed to paint a huge mural on the OKC ROCKS elevators as well as a Kickstarter campaign for another art project. He also has a big mural in the Blue Dome district in Tulsa. Anyone have any inside info?

This is bull****. I'm a close family friend of rick's and he is the opposite of a dead beat father. He just took over custody of them and is trying to get away from Coyne and the drug scene for the sake of his kids. He's a great man, and to believe that jackasses tweets would be idiotic.. Just my two cents..

IMHO, it's rather classless to call someone out via Twitter.

I cannot speak to the man's fathering skills, but it's my understanding that the whole Route 66 mural project -- including the repainting of the OKC Rocks grain bin -- is off, for some reason or another.
