I heard that Del City was going to start improving Eagle Lake this summer any one know if this is true.

I really like that lake (for what it is - a really big pond).

Used to take our son there when he was little so he could fish and geocache. Been a few times in recent years to run the dogs and cast a line. A few odd characters just lurking about. Hopefully it will be well policed.

The area isn't bad, sometimes I find myself after work casting a line or two. Beautiful sunsets here. My favorite is probably waiting for a train to pass by. Surprisingly, never have went to look for any of the three caches in the area.

so... where is this eagle lake? only thing i can find on any map is "thompson lake" at reno & bryant. -M

It was Thompson Lake but when the city bought the lake in 2000 they changed the name to Eagle Lake

I know about that stuff but I had heard that they plan to do a lot more over the summer.

With all these bond elections that have built a new PD station, Outdoor sirens, fire trucks, drainage fixes, street improvement, new library, over hall of the community center. I think its time that the city start turning some of its attention to the City parks including Eagle Lake.
