And who doesn't pick out their suit for the day while watching a little Andy Griffith. Pete 06-09-2014, 12:02 PM This project is getting close to completion. Amazing interiors. Nicest apartments in OKC by far -- and nicer than most if not all of the for-sale units downtown. betts 06-09-2014, 10:18 PM That's funny. They have the same flooring I have in my guest bedroom, as well as same wall color. I almost bought the picture they have on the floor there (from Plenty) but decided it was a bit too flowery and bought some pictures by Suzanne Peck. Looks like I was wrong, as I think it looks good in there. Chadanth 07-23-2014, 03:56 PM Went running by here the other night, looks like a couple units are occupied. Pete 09-05-2014, 05:09 PM Yes, they had their first tenants in July. Great, great project and they may still have some units available. They will be building a carport soon as well. Pete 11-12-2014, 10:36 AM Great photo of this project: http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/mayfair111214.jpg tpg4635 11-12-2014, 10:47 AM Love how much of a difference just the windows made! Great to see life back in this building. Chadanth 11-12-2014, 10:54 AM I'd like to see some interior shots. Spartan 11-12-2014, 08:49 PM I like the old Native American expression that someone's eyes are the windows to their soul... However that relates to buildings (not sure there), really does make you realize the importance of good fenestration. Urbanized 11-13-2014, 06:00 AM ^^^^^^^^ Be careful. Defending good fenestration is a great way to be shouted down around here. But yeah, the windows are a huge improvement over what was there. CuatrodeMayo 11-13-2014, 01:41 PM ^^^^^^^^ Be careful. Defending good fenestration is a great way to be shouted down around here. But yeah, the windows are a huge improvement over what was there. It's stunning what a difference this makes. The old, dark aluminum framing and the tinted glass made this building look bombed-out. Fun fact: Several years ago Studio Architecture looked into buying this building and moving into the top two floors. That didn't pencil out. Later, they were approached by Midtown R about renovating the building. It was then we discovered the original window configuration and recommended Midtown R restore them. I'm glad to see they heed that advice. |
