I read two reports, one said vacation, the other said state business. It's possible the initial report mixed her up with Lamb. Either way, she wasn't here, get over it.

Stay out of the areas determined to be unsafe is what the State Dept. said. Where they went was not one of those areas.

Some news reports said that Gov. Fallin was in Puerto Rico on vacation and chose not to return - I'm perfectly OK with that. Same goes if it was Gov. Brad Henry in Puerto Rico and President George Bush was paying a visit. The governor would spend more time travelling to/from Puerto Rico than the president spent in Oklahoma - just to say, "Welcome to Oklahoma Mr. President." Makes no sense.
