The Kaiser foundation is taking public input on a new $150 million park space to be built at 31st and Riverside just south of downtown. The site currently is a large private home and two apartment complexes that the foundation already owns. Construction to start in early 2014.

slightly off subject, but is that first pic photoshoped? cause even when i have seen the water of the Arkansas River go from bank to bank, it always has had a very red tint to it.... Or when looking at it from that far up does it really look that blue? i really am curious about this.

Nearly all professionally take pictures are photoshopped. I can't guarantee you, but I would bet the blues in the water and the saturation of the whole image were boosted. However, I have seen the river full of "blue" water before, just not that blue.

Regarding the park, I am extremely excited about it and am highly anticipating the final result.
