Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I have tried to search this forum and the ever powerful Google and came up with nothing.
Didn't the Capitol Dome have LEDs that lit up the columns directly beneath the statue on top after it was completed? If so, why aren't these turned on anymore? I know that state is strapped for cash and that the building is crumbling, but surly those aren't the reasons they aren't working. I could swear I remember driving by it at night on my way to Norman, seeing the lights and thinking how great they looked.

This was the only picture I could find that had anything remotely close to the LEDs showing up. See the green on the columns....
