Dustin 09-05-2013, 05:23 PM Those units look awesome! Wow. Would love to live there!
Yet another chapter in I Can't Believe this is OKC.
MidtownR and Brian Fitzsimmons do fantastic work.
dankrutka 09-05-2013, 06:41 PM When I lived in Claremont across the street I used to always wonder how this building could be used... I never imagined something this nice. Wonderful work!

I agree. That is exactly what I was thinking.
pickles 09-05-2013, 09:18 PM Awesome
CaptDave 09-05-2013, 09:28 PM That looks very well done. Not a viable option for me with the kiddos, but should make for very happy residents.
Anonymous. 09-05-2013, 09:53 PM Those photos certainly make it look like it backs up the $ they ask. My only complaint is the fact that your neighbor's porch is basically your porch. Perhaps once those grasses grow taller it will be more private.
I can confirm that they are just as awesome as they look. While I don't live in the super fancy two floor units, the first floor units are the same quality. Love living in midtown.
Urbanized 09-06-2013, 04:49 PM Go back and read the last two pages of this thread. The fickleness is pure comedy gold.
no1cub17 09-06-2013, 05:11 PM Holy smokes those are unbelievable pictures Pete. Can anyone confirm what rents are for the nicer units? I wish midtownr's website had a little more info on it...
Urbanized 09-06-2013, 05:15 PM I wouldn't worry too much about the rents. According to earlier posters in this thread, nobody in OKC can afford to pay them, or even if they could no way they would pay to live in a place with such crummy finishes.

Lol

I was so confused when I read those posts. The building is full, so apparently people are willing to pay. I was told one of the tenants can't move in until December but didn't want to lose the unit so they have paid 3 months of rent to hold the unit until December. Also, rumor is that Emily Sutton is moving in.
betts 09-07-2013, 07:34 PM Sarcasm doesn't translate well to the written word. Clearly there are people who can afford those prices and consider the apartments worth the price. As Oklahoma City grows, the cost of living may go up. Salaries will hopefully keep pace with any increase.

You mean, I will be within walking distance of Emily Sutton? YES YES YES!
For what its worth, I am fairly certain Morgan Chesky (the guy on Channel 5 who looks like James Van der Beek) lives in either Midtown or Mesta Park. I always see him jogging in this area.

Appeared to translate fairly well for soonerguru.

I understood Urbanized's sarcasm. I was referring to the actual posts earlier in the thread where posters talked about cheap finishes, being overpriced, and they would stay empty until they lower the price.

That's what I heard, don't quote me on it though.
lasomeday 09-09-2013, 01:38 PM So when are you and Emily sutton throwing a house warming party?

Soon. Very soon.

Thanks. I don't rely on sarcasm that often in posts, but when I do I like to think that it is reasonably well-crafted.
Bellaboo 09-09-2013, 03:21 PM Soon. Very soon.
Maybe you can get her to sing, she has a great voice.
circuitboard 09-09-2013, 05:05 PM I don’t think anyone said they would stay empty.... lol If people will pay it, then yes they will all rent out just fine. Just because the finishes and amenities are not up to par in my opinion does not mean they will not get rented out. Demand is high in OKC for modern centralized rental units. However as more developments come about and are finished, the prices will fall and the builders will have to be more competitive with finishes and amenities.
