Looking for a moderately priced place for a group of friends. Buffet is preferred, but other recommendations welcomed.

Thee former Fire Mountain at I-40 and MacArthur had a large enough room. I think its replacement, Ryans is still a buffet, right?

Ryans is closed & up for sale, Its sister restaurant Hometown Buffet @ 63rd & N.W. Expressway has meeting rooms to accommodate groups.

Best buffett I've ever had was at the new golden corral on NW EXP. It is the largest buffet I've ever seen and everything is delicious.

As far as buffets go, both the GC on I-240 and the Hibachi on I-240 are better than passable, but I do not recall whether Hibachi has private rooms.

Crabtown in BT has private rooms of different sizes and you can set up a custom serving line for your group in room.

Also Italiano's on N Lincoln. has two or three rooms in addition to its main room.

Are Massive Flintstonian BBQ Beef Ribs a prerequisite for consideration?
(just askin' . . .)

Nit a pre-req, but they would be a perk. Let's not even address the yearning for ribs from a buffalo. All bellow of bovines aside, just looking for nice place to eat with a group of friends.

Fred Flinstonian would trend toward too massive those ribs from a Brontosaurus, which would quick fill any room that's designed just for 25.

Yup . . .
So . . . Any vegetarians or Vegans in the group?
(just kidding)

Oklahoma Station BBQ (on 50th near Meridian) has always been good, but the standing in line thing is unavoidable. They do have a "meeting room" adjacent to the serving line.

Never been there, but I hear tell that Cajun King place over in that same neck o' the woods, sorta, is pretty good.

You cannot miss with The Deep Fork Grill (formerly Portobellos).
(But it isn't a buffet . . .)

Dang . . .
the only other "buffet" thing I can think of is one of those (excellent) Indian restaurants . . .
Khazana . . . Ajanta . . . Etc... Sorry.

Did I forget to mention Luby's or Furr's? =)
(no "snark" intended or applied)

Cajun King has a great reputation but does not have a private room.

I wonder if it would be more cost effective vis-a-vis a "get-together of friends" (circa 25) to rent a place somewhere and have the event catered . . . (by one of our fine local restaurants not corporate chain operations)
