I won't darken the door of Dickie's and honestly can't imagine them
being opened this time next year.

Now I could understand your comment if we were talking McDonalds and their "limited time" availability of the McRib in November, but Summertime not a good time for BBQ????

Is the AC effectiveness, in a location in a Strip Mall BBQ, the responsibility of the Space Renter or of the Mall Management?
I will accept your answer--even if you mentioned McRib as anything remotely related to BBQ.
(It's one of those Maslow's Hierarchy of Human Needs Pyramid deals.)

I think it's a standalone building right? I'd say it's the business' responsibility.

If it is a standalone building, I'd have to agree with you.
Vis-a-vis the air conditioning . . . Not the quality of the BBQ found therein.
Is it a "standalone building"?
(apparently, based upon the numbers of its defenders, it is =)

You reckon that The Manager had a call in to Restaurant Chain Building Maintanence about the AC situation?
And how did the later Hail Hammering move the priorities?

Simply to put Top Notch BBQ in perspective . . .
I don't think the folks, below, are too concerned about AC . . .
Perhaps a fan or two . . .

Please be advised that neither of those Reality Clips have anything to do with Dickies or McRibs.

It is in the French Market strip mall on the corner of the strip where Quizno's used to be (not a stand alone building). Didn't mean to subject anyones BBQ sensibilities by mentioning the McRib (or the ArbyQ for that matter, only the timing of said offerings being seasonally appropriate or not...the point being, why wouldn't a BBQ place being open this time of year??

And to the manager question, one would think if a potential customer mentioned the lack of AC as being the reason they were going someplace else, that they might offer some sort of explanation to that effect (or is it affect?) Seriously. Which is it?

The third time we ate there the meat wasn't as good as the first two times. The side orders were still good, but the meat not so good. Hoping for better things next time.

I'm sure they put their best foot forward and you've seen the
best they have. They probably ordered it from a local bbq joint
since theirs is sooooo bad. It's going to be down hill from here
because they are going to start serving their own attempts at bbq.
I will never darken the door of a Dickie's so-called bbq unless it's
an emergency and I need to go to the restroom.

I ate at Dickey's yesterday and I must say that it is among the best that I have had. Hopefully it will stay that way.

I was in there yesterday to use my free big sandwich coupon corporate sent me and they still haven't fixed the AC problem. They are trying as they have 2 portable AC units hooked up but they wee both blowing out 81 degree air and the room temp still said it was 86. They are located o the NW corner of the mall and have entire walls of glass allowing the afternoon sun to keep heating the place up. may be handy in the winter, but not so good in the summer. They really need to install window tinting, shades or something to block it.

The puled pork sandwich itself was ok but on the dry side/overcooked. The sides I tried were tasty (Mac & Cheese and Jalapeno Beans). The beans had some heat to them but looked/tasted like ranch style beans and I didn't see any jalapenos in them at all. have another free sandwich coupon and will go back before it expires in a couple of weeks to try different stuff and hope they have the AC problem fixed. I just don't see them surviving until they do.

Still overly warm in there (80 degrees) but it is improving...maybe due to the lower outside temp
