This is not a City Project. UncleCyrus 05-08-2012, 12:44 AM NE OKC ? Why There? Great won't catch me investing in NE OKC Just curious why there is a problem with NE OKC? I have invested here and it is fantastic. Much happier here than when we lived off NW Expressway. Rover 05-08-2012, 11:50 AM Hmmm. NE OKC has trees, hills, easy access to two interstates, inexpensive land for development near major cultural and entertainment attractions. No wonder why some wouldn't want to invest there. LOL. Pete 10-31-2012, 10:23 AM I took this photo last week... This project is really coming along. http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/nehealth.jpg Pete 11-29-2012, 03:48 PM $1.4 million permit today for new park trails, canopies, amphitheater, and sheds as a part of this project. The terrain here is really beautiful -- I hope this gets used. Pete 12-09-2014, 05:14 PM The Energy just announced they will be building their training facility at this location: Energy FC (http://www.energyfc.com/index.cfm?fa=pressreleases.article&articleID=F879E391-8B7A-E411-9931-000C296FBAA9) Laramie 12-10-2014, 10:42 AM Commitment & investment by the Oklahoma City Energy FC with a top notch $6.5 million MLS style training facility. Put a competitive product on the field and partner with the City of OKC to get an MLS ready stadium (20,000-seater) on the riverfront for MAPS VI. You will have the 'partners' to invest. He said it will take the teamwork of fans, the city, the community, and the corporate community to bring an MLS team to the city. We got NHL-NBA ready, now let's get ready for the MLS: Oklahoma City to Study Feasibility of Future MLS Stadium - Athletic Business (http://www.athleticbusiness.com/more-news/oklahoma-city-to-study-feasibility-of-future-mls-stadium.html) Richard at Remax 12-10-2014, 10:52 AM Even though I have been public about not pursuing MLS, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they put a stadium in the "adventure district" in the area of this practice facility. That north parking lot of Remington plus that vacant land is more than enough space for an mls stadium (using Toyota field footprint in Frisco). Land is probably cheaper too and you wouldn't have to worry about parking if you work out a deal with Remington. They knew they were moving to Taft while they were renovating Pribil Stadium. All that being said, the front office is already in discussions with the city for a downtown MLS-ready stadium. They are going from a 2,000 capacity stadium to an 8,000 capacity stadium at Taft for this upcoming 2015 season. If I may, I encourage everyone to come out and support the Energy this season at Taft. The more attendance we have, the closer we are to convincing the city we are ready to take that next step.
