A year or so back, A group of members either created a camera stroll downtown, or several joined someone else's planned stroll. I didn't go but they posted some nice images from their respective walks.

Years ago, we met at a Redhawks game and had dinner out at a few places. Suprisingly, everybody got along fine. Most people know that getting too carried away in person usually leads to people asking you to leave or people leaving you.

There was a photo meetup a year or two ago,some members walked through downtown and Bricktown and snapped pics!

I may be in town in December and if so I will try and organize something. I'd like to do it around some sort of walking tour with a guest speaker or two.

I've done meet-ups from message boards in the past and of course, everyone is incredibly nice in person. And usually quite different than the mental image you've formed.

I agree, no one needs a bodyguard. Even though we may all disagree at times (OK, 99% of the time), were mature enough to believe and agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I've done these sort of meet-ups in the past and in person, everyone is pretty reserved and even a little shy. But always very nice.

Very, very different than how people are on-line.

I'd be honored to meet Pete and others of you. Unfortunately, health issues prohibit me from walking for any significant distance. But perhaps I could intercept the walk at a a point, have a chat, and, if possible, that would be great.

I will also add that before Pete's ownership of this forum, it was not not unusual and was pretty ordinary for earlier forum owners to have lunches and meet with other forum participants, like me. I do understand that with Pete living in California that kind of thing is not so easily done.

I've never participated in a meet up and I think I would enjoy it.
