Do they really work? Which one is the best and why?

Take a look at this... http://www.electroniccigarettereviewsite.net/

They are pricing these products extremely high. Are they really that expensive?

There is a vendor at the Golden Goose Flea Market selling a brand (don't know the name) and the pack with USB charger and two end thingy for only $10. Refill packs of 4 are $5 each, I think, maybe less. There are two ladies from the Swap Meet side currently using them and they said that it works.

I'm wanting to get one and see if that will help me stop buying cartons of cigz. I never see them anywhere around....other than on television, online, and in that vendor's mega-huge booth.

One of my old roommates finally stopped smoking by using them. He's been trying to quit for over a decade.

I don't recommend trying my method for quiting. Having a heart attack is very effective but kind of extreme. Good luck if it helps you. You need to quit no matter what works for you.

Yeah, I've began to gain concern for my Grandmother who is always trying to quit but she never can and will always tell me to never start smoking because of how addicting and cancerous and ultimately how life threatning it can be. I pray for her nightly but sometimes it doesn't feel like that's enough.

And ljbab728, I'm sorry to hear that but atleast you survived and you are now smoke-free. :-)

Thanks, MDot. Actually after I got out of the hospital I did pick up a cigarette and light it up. I took one puff and said, YUCK! I threw it down and haven't picked one up since. That was about 6 years ago.

Same story a deaf friend told me about himself having a heart attack and magically quit smoking. He died earlier this year. I'm using the disposable Blu Cig at Walgreens and haven't touch a real cig today.

Congrats, Thunder. Keep it up. It's worth it in more ways than one.

Wow. That's absolutely wonderful, ljbab. Not that you had to go through that but that you felt that way about it almost instantly.

I'm impressed. It has nicotine and menthol flavor. I'm not craving for the real ciggy. My last post was done on my phone, so it was too short lacking info. Okay, I stopped at Smokin' J in Del City to see if they have any Blu Cig brand. Nope. Sad, eh? They sell a Clean Cig brand, so I bought the pack and refills. Its a bit heavier and larger than reg cig. The part where you put in mouth is not soft...its hard...was a bit hard for me to use. Then I went to get the disposable Blu Cig at Walgreens. Lighter and more comfortable. I can use that one better. After all day of using it, I'm able to use both in a way for me without a problem. The few on here that knows me....know I can't close my lips. I'm going to look up reviews on the Clean Cig and see what I find. Both seem to work just fine for me. I'm not sure of the health risk associated with these products. I wonder if the real health risk is the tobacco...not the nicotine. I see myself being a long-time user of these electronic cigs and eventually will order the premium kit online with Blu Cig and lots of refill. I don't know if I will eventually quit using it, but I can see that I will at least quit using cigs containing tobacco. Now I can go anywhere I want and smoke all I want...even at the Zoo. LOL!!!

Thunder, Smokin-J? I use to go there all the with my mom when we lived in Del City. I basically owned 29th St in Del City.

One major negative I have to say about Blu Cig. I'm extremely disappointed in them putting money/profit first before mother nature. All of the Walgreens sell the disposable Blu Cig, both Regular and Menthol. About 300 puffs per stick. Upon surveying the product, it appears very high quality to me. Such a waste to see it all go to landfills. Why only sell disposables in stores? It'd be easier if we all can just buy the whole kit and refills in stores. Only throw away the refills while the main part of the product is rechargeable. So, as much as I love Blu Cig and the black color with blue LED light, I'm considering heavily on going with a brand with easy access for refills in stores.

Yes, dear. Del City demolished their building and forced them to relocate to Sunnylane/15th in the shopping center northeast of intersection. They previously owned their building, and now they are paying rent/lease in the shopping center. I hope that Del City are paying their rent/lease for life.

I seen it wasn't there last time I went through. Sorta sad when I seen that as I have a ton of memories of that place.

Also my mom use to work at that shopping center a few years ago. It's like my distant past is trying to follow me into my not-so-distant past. Scary.

I am always around the area. I'm practically King of Del City. If I wanted to run for Mayor, I would win easily. I'm going to bide my time for the right moment to seize control of the city and make a glorious turnaround that will have MWC crying thy kingdom come.

I'd vote for you. You're pretty legit.

I used blu cigs to stop smoking over 4 months ago. Good product if your serious about reducing smoking. It's the only thing that worked for me after 10-12 years of smoking.

I used the patch a little over 10 years ago and haven't smoked a cig since, however I do enjoy a good cigar or a pipe now and then.

I'm still enjoying the e-ciggy and haven't touch the filth in a long while. I will never touch such filth again (unless in xtreme emergency). I'm using it everywhere including hospitals without worry. :-)

I'm using Clean Cigs and sometime Blu Cigs.

There was a fraud from Blu Cig, the owner sent out email saying Black Friday special at 50% discount with a code. The code was fake and I sent a very angry newsletter but no response.

I will only use the 8 bux short-lived disposable Blu Cigs for special occassions.

Well done, Thunder!

A family friend passed away last week...she died of lung cancer. She wasn't a smoker, but she did enjoy the casinos a bit too much. It seemed to be a very difficult way to pass...I would never wish that disease on anyone. So I'm excited to hear when people can break that habit (both cigs and casinos!!)

I'm not a promoter, nor a current or former smoker, but the g/f has managed to quit for almost two years using them. After several initial false starts mainly due to equipment failures, she settled on these guys: www.volcanoecigs.com and has never looked back. They are HQed in Hawaii but their shipping is lightning fast and they have good, durable equipment. She switched to the "drip tip" method pretty quickly...has a toolbox full of all the e-liquids and mixes her own.

She buys some stuff from totally-wicked eliquids too.

She thanks me about once a month for getting her to try e-cigarettes. I recommended them to her after hearing a conservative talk radio host extolling their virtues.

It's kind of fun to watch all the people in a restaurant give her "the look" when she's "vaping", although I hate that term for it. She's had more than a few walk up to her and ask what she's doing, where can they get one, etc.

Interesting as well that she can no longer tolerate regular cigarettes. She'll occasionally lapse back to what they call 'analogs', but they make her violently ill and she can't tolerate the smell of smoke. Her teenage son still smokes and she will barely allow him in the house afterward. Even then he has to pile his clothes on the back porch and immediately shower.

Maybe it's a little more difficult than regular smoking. You always have to carry a charger, a bottle of your liquid and an extra battery or atomizer, but once you get the ritual down, it's far better for you than smoking.

There's also the initial investment and upkeep that seems pricey to most people, but cartons of premium cigarettes are what, over 50 bucks? That's a tank of gas for me.

I think she was about a 1, 1.5 pack a day smoker when she quit a year ago last September.

I started using e-cigarettes regularly just over a week ago. As soon as I bought one of the Mistic cigarettes from WalMart, I didn't even crave a real cigarette. Over the past several years I've been on-again/off-again with smoking, but the last time I started I found it very difficult to stop. Something anxiety related I'm sure. But I haven't had an analog in over a week, and the Mistic is more than satisfying. I don't want to invest in one of the classier e-cigs because I don't want this to become a lifestyle, I just wanted to make quitting deathsticks easier.

I've tried the Blue disposables and the Finiti disposables from Walgreens. Both were good, but inconsistent. The first Blu I bought was great and lasted me several days. The second one lasted me about a day before it was drained. The Finiti was a good vapor as well, but the battery died within a few hours and I didn't get them to agree to send me a replacement until like 15 days after I contacted them to complain of a faulty unit.

If you're wanting to try it out but don't want a huge investment, go to the cigarette counter at WalMart and pick up some Mistics. You can get the single (one battery and one cartomizer) for about $7, and the kit with one battery, two carts and a USB charger is about $14.
