View Full Version : Game Day Thread: OU vs TTU venture 10-22-2011, 10:00 PM Ugh. dmoor82 10-22-2011, 10:02 PM IF OU losses this game and the next vs. KSU,will that hinder OSU from going to the NC game with a win over the Sooners? Easy180 10-22-2011, 10:04 PM Got em right where we want em venture 10-22-2011, 10:04 PM Yeah it can hurt. Ideally they are wanting to be the only team that would beat KSU and OU. Obviously one would have 2 losses after the Bedlam game. dmoor82 10-22-2011, 10:04 PM Dropped passes, the stripped fumble, combined with poor D and the struggling O might mean an end to the 39 game home winning streak and NC hopes! This might get ugly unless OU puts some points on the board before halftime NikkiG78 10-22-2011, 10:13 PM We usually play better in the second half so I still have some hope. MDot 10-22-2011, 10:17 PM The longer I watch this game the more I'm convinced TTU will win. dmoor82 10-22-2011, 10:25 PM Why does OU get all jacked up for the big games, but when KU and TT come calling they play flat or in tonights case ****ty! MDot 10-22-2011, 10:31 PM I know this is the wrong thread but did anyone else just see the ending of the Michigan St-Wisconsin game? venture 10-22-2011, 10:32 PM They are too emotionally driven. They are probably looking forwards to the KSU game. ON another note, Wisconsin just lost to MSU. dmoor82 10-22-2011, 10:35 PM Hell,if KSU beats OU and OSU then they might jump into the #2 BCS spot? dmoor82 10-22-2011, 10:39 PM The ABC announcer said OU's largest home comeback was 15 vs.Vandy so it will take some record breaking to win this one! venture 10-22-2011, 10:45 PM KSU could make it if they win out. 3 and out for OU on the first possession of the half. Yeah this doesn't look good. venture 10-22-2011, 10:48 PM So this is what it feels like to get routed. LOL MDot 10-22-2011, 10:49 PM This game is over. Lol jn1780 10-22-2011, 10:52 PM I second that Ugh. with a Ugggggh  Stick a fork in them. Their done. Edit: or not? MDot 10-22-2011, 11:04 PM The St. Louis Cardinals have scored more points than OU has. Lol jn1780 10-22-2011, 11:08 PM The St. Louis Cardinals have scored more points than OU has. Lol That's just sad......... venture 10-22-2011, 11:48 PM Can't say tonight is that much of a shocked. We've been seeing OU be flat too much in games. Finally had a team that could take advantage of it. venture 10-22-2011, 11:56 PM Ball game. dmoor82 10-23-2011, 12:25 AM The winner of LSU- Bama vs. OSU,BSU,Stanford,Clemson or KSU? dmoor82 10-23-2011, 12:32 AM two missed field goals and we lose by 3!What a night! venture 10-23-2011, 12:33 AM That's the way it is looking. OU *might* still have a chance, depends how much they get destroyed by the pollsters and the computers. If they get pushed to maybe #10, they could squeak in if they win out. Of course you have to argue that a one-loss Bama or LSU could do the same thing. However, there are still a ton of undefeateds out there. Dustin 10-23-2011, 12:37 AM The band could not get their s### together.. What the hell was that?!?!? They played boomer sooner non stop it seemed like and NO BODY was in sync.... I wanted to blow my brains out... dmoor82 10-23-2011, 12:43 AM What happend to the SHARKS man, damnit to hell I tell you! MDot 10-23-2011, 12:49 AM The band could not get their s### together.. What the hell was that?!?!? They played boomer sooner non stop it seemed like and NO BODY was in sync.... I wanted to blow my brains out... I don't know but the whole right side of my body is numb from listening to that crap all night. For once something Oklahoma affected me in a negative way. MikeOKC 10-23-2011, 12:52 AM I know this is the wrong thread but did anyone else just see the ending of the Michigan St-Wisconsin game? ON another note, Wisconsin just lost to MSU. Did anybody notice who caught the hail mary pass for Michigan State? It was former Oklahoma QB (3rd string 2008 and transferred) Keith Nichol, who now plays wide receiver for the Spartans. Congrats to Keith. That was an incredible game. As for OU - Venture's been trying to tell everyone it's not in the bag - you never know who's going to sneak up on you. Well, he's right. It was Texas Tech. Oh, the plans of mice and men. kevinpate 10-23-2011, 12:54 AM It's not nice to kick a pup when it's down. So, with that in mind, nite. MDot 10-23-2011, 12:58 AM It's not nice to kick a pup when it's down. So, with that in mind, nite. If they tear up your house and pee all over your walls and crap on your precious bed then I think it's reasonable to beat the retard out of them. Lol Goodnight. :-) inquisitive_mind 10-23-2011, 01:34 AM Sooners did need a wake up call and we got one. It's very unfortunate that the "Chase for 8" has been put on hold for now, but the boys will be back for sure. It is somewhat unsettling though that K State may be ranked higher going into next week's game. ***Side note: the"trail of tears" comment by the ESPN anchor was way out of line and beyond ignorant Easy180 10-23-2011, 06:34 AM I'm hearing that most OU starters went to O'Connells during the delay betts 10-23-2011, 09:26 AM They played like it. They came out all fired up before the rain delay and it was gone after the rain delay. But with hindsight this game was coming. This team is too labile and to quote my son, there are too many busts and former tight ends on the offensive line. It did feel like the team was snakebit, with dropped balls, missed field goals and missed assignments. rcjunkie 10-23-2011, 09:28 AM I'm hearing that most OU starters went to O'Connells during the delay Why post such BS ? Easy180 10-23-2011, 09:30 AM Why post such BS ? Not my target audience RC...It was meant for those with a sense of humor dmoor82 10-23-2011, 09:37 AM I'm hearing that most OU starters went to O'Connells during the delay I think you meant they went to Sugars! MadMonk 10-23-2011, 10:47 AM Well, at least the pressure is off for winning the National Championship game. ZYX2 10-23-2011, 11:07 AM I must say that it would have been a nice night to be a Tech fan last night. I hope none of the OU fans were hurt when they jumped off the bandwagon. Go Pokes!!! (sorry, had to say it) I will add though, that OU's near comeback looked pretty darn good for the most part. betts 10-23-2011, 11:20 AM There's still a chance for redemption by beating the Cowboys at home again. Although looking at last night's game one might think that impossible, I've long since learned you cannot extrapolate well from one game to the next. It might not get us into the NC game, but perhaps that's just as well. My sources (son) say Alabama's defensive line is bigger and faster than our offensive line. jn1780 10-23-2011, 12:37 PM I must say that it would have been a nice night to be a Tech fan last night. I hope none of the OU fans were hurt when they jumped off the bandwagon. Go Pokes!!! (sorry, had to say it) I will add though, that OU's near comeback looked pretty darn good for the most part. How many fans does the OSU bandwagon have this year? The OU bandwagon has had more opportunities to crash and burn. Lol Thunder 10-23-2011, 03:19 PM Why were Ryan Broyles not doing anything?!?!?!?!?! MDot 10-23-2011, 03:34 PM Why were Ryan Broyles not doing anything?!?!?!?!?! He had 7 catches for 84 yards. He was doing something. Thunder 10-23-2011, 04:53 PM He had 7 catches for 84 yards. He was doing something. He was doing way less and his name was rarely mensioned on live cable television! MDot 10-23-2011, 05:02 PM He was doing way less and his name was rarely mensioned on live cable television! Doesn't mean much. Everyone has quiet games. Brett 10-23-2011, 09:51 PM I've got a bad feeling that K-State will give OU loss number two for the season next week. MDot 10-24-2011, 12:21 AM I've got a bad feeling that K-State will give OU loss number two for the season next week. I think we all have that feeling now that we've suffered our first loss. Lol if they can rebound and win then they should be in good shape. Thunder 10-24-2011, 04:58 AM Whaley, you better get ur small butt back in the game. Ryan, play more. No more break time. Kenny a d others, learn how to catch. Landry, sweetie, stop throwing too hard. Ok? You need the word "hard" out of your mind. MonkeesFan 10-24-2011, 06:40 AM To be honest, I am not suprised that the Sooners lost, the Sooners were unimpressive in the last few weeks against Kansas and Missouri so I saw this loss coming! If the Sooners can defeat a undefeated Kansas State team in Kansas next week, it would be a HUGE win for the Sooners Thunder 10-24-2011, 07:07 AM To be honest, I am not suprised that the Sooners lost, the Sooners were unimpressive in the last few weeks against Kansas and Missouri so I saw this loss coming! If the Sooners can defeat a undefeated Kansas State team in Kansas next week, it would be a HUGE win for the Sooners Considering that Kansas sucks but almost defeated OU....I'm betting Kansas State will declare victory. MonkeesFan 10-24-2011, 07:10 AM Considering that Kansas sucks but almost defeated OU....I'm betting Kansas State will declare victory. And they shouldn't, the Sooners might come in pissed off and motivated after a loss Thunder 10-24-2011, 10:09 AM And they shouldn't, the Sooners might come in pissed off and motivated after a loss Not all will be that way. You see the way Honeycutt looked in last game? I don't see how he will survive in classes this week. He may be more medically and psychology upset than we think. MDot 10-24-2011, 01:15 PM I think OU has a better chance of winning than losing to K-State personally. mugofbeer 10-24-2011, 10:38 PM I have a feeling they may play one of their best games of the season Saturday. Last weekend's loss was a shock to pride. THis team seems to play with pride when the chips are down - even in the 2nd half last weekend the offense played their hearts out but were in just too big a hole. I predict OU but 21+. (geez, I hope I;m right) Roadhawg 10-25-2011, 09:09 AM I think OU has a better chance of winning than losing to K-State personally. I agree |
