Although it's been closed for many years now the old Tony's Via Roma building (on NWX) is being torn down. I sure miss that restaurant. Anyone know who bought the property or whats going?

Drove by again this morning. Now it looks like maybe just the front of the building is being torn down. Maybe just a remodel? For who?

I believe it's 2743 NW Expressway.

It's been for sale for a while but has not sold recently according to the county assessor. There was a demolition permit issued a couple of weeks ago.

Is that the site that was most recently a Mex place a few years back now? And for some strange reason am thinking it was a Pizza Inn at one point?

Man, that was a nice place. When I was old enough to really start appreciating nicer restaurants, I got to go there one time - and then it closed. Arrrgh.

Happened to a lot of places here in OKC - Glen's Hik-Ry Inn, Haunted House (is it still around?) lots of places you heard about, but when time came to go they had changed, moved, closed, whatever.

Tony's was a great place! Same for Glen's Hik-Ry Inn and the Haunted House. I just did some research to see if the Haunted House is still open, and yes it is. Google Haunted House Restaurant Oklahoma City and you should be able to find it.
