Anyone use these for football? I know ten years ago when I was in OKC there was a listener that called in to The Sports Animal and gave his picks out during one of the morning shows. He didn't have any kind of service, just a listener picking against the spread. He always did very well. Any one know of a non-paid service or blog that actually has had some success?

I knew a guy once that actually did that before the Internet. He mailed a one page bulletin every week for $100 a season and had many subscribers. So I know they're out there (now online), I just wonder how many quality picks are freebies?
I wouldn't bet against Boise State this year. Kellen Moore and Doug Martin are said to be the 3rd or 4th best QB/RB combinations in the country. Interesting to note that Moore was offered scholarships only at Boise and a real small school. Martin was offered zero scholarships except by Peterson and Boise State, who has made it unspokenly clear that his strategy of recruiting the overlooked white players, (because of skin color alone) continues to pay off big.

Why would you care about someone elses guess? Tout services are the lowest scum of the earth, many have been proven to give out both sides of the same game.
Covers (http://www.covers.com) has all of the information you need to make your own guess, and there are free picks available too.
