Hey there! A few friends and I are heading to OKC Norman for the weekend and wanted to see if anyone know about some fun off the path events going on, good places to listen to music (during the day hours ) or some small cool festivals going on (here in Tulsa we have the Greek festival every so often etc)..

Or places to recommend going to on a Sunday that are unique. Saturday we are going to be in Norman most of the day but coming back via OKC and are thinking about exploring a flea market I read about on here and a few (Golden Goose I believe)

Thinking about eating at Birrieria Diaz..or Mutts...would love to find some place for live music after noon on Sunday....or a good coffee shop with some eclectic vibes, book stores(non commercial)...off the path suggestions?

I can't think of any events happening this weekend. OKC Zoo?

Golden Goose flea market is nice, not as big as Old Paris, but we are rebounding. We all would love your support to shop and buy, buy, buy. :-P If you happen to check it out this weekend and if you see something you like in my booth, let me know who you are and I'll give you a discount.

Old Paris is on Eastern on south side of I-40.
Golden Goose is on NE 23rd five miles east of I-35.
Mary's Swap Meet is on NE 23rd four miles east of I-35 - closes at Noon.
Norman's flea market, I can't remember their odd days and hours is on Robinson, I think.

One more thing, I highly recommend visiting the site of Devon Tower. You will be able to be extremely close to the construction. Be sure to bring a camera to share pictures with us. Hopefully the glorious skyscraper will entice you to relocate to OKC. :-)

And check out the Myriad Gardens. There is no fish in the pond, yet. And the taxi boat through the Bricktown canal will skyrocket your heartbeat as you watch hopelessly as ducks scramble to escape the speeding boat. Sit at the front edge for best view.

Well, I rode it on the July 4th and the lady driving the boat didn't care about the ducks. She just kept on going and all the ducks had to scramble. One baby almost got boat-killed when at last split second, it jetted out the way so fast.
