View Full Version : Westboro Baptist Church to protest in Edmond August 11
SoonerQueen 08-10-2011, 03:23 AM Henderson Hills Baptist Church in Edmond, OK August 11, 2011 9:15 AM - 10:00 AM
WBC will picket the funeral of Jered Ewy. God is killing your children in His righteous wrath for the sins of this evil nation. While you walk around demanding that God bless america, the body bags are piling up. Is the soldier laying in the coffin a blessing? What you need to do is mourn for your sins. Instead you stomp around, waving a bloody rag, and demand the blessings of God. It won't happen. No obedience equals no blessings, only curses from God.
Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; A blessing if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your god, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known. Deuteronomy 11:26
This country couldn't be any farther from obeying the commandments of God. Think baby killing (abortion), think adultery (divorce & remarriage), think *** marriage, and on and on. This nation is fast approaching its last day. america is doomed! Obey today!
This is from their website.

First line in post #1
HewenttoJared 08-10-2011, 08:20 AM I have been outed as a skimmer of posts. How embarrassing.
RadicalModerate 08-10-2011, 09:06 AM I'd try to be there to exercise my "Freedom of Speech and Assembly" (by letting this group of worthless, inbred, brainwashed, scumbags from Kansas know my opinion of their pseudo-message and tactics) but I don't think that a funeral(?) should be disrupted any more than it already will be by their presence. (I apologize, in advance, for any offense taken by normal scumbags by grouping this collection of bozos with them. And I apologize to clowns, too.)
Besides that: Jesus said, "Pray for your enemies."
I'm not sure that he was referring to some of the imprecatory prayers of David (in the Old Testament) that he offered up "on behalf" of his enemies . . . But perhaps prayers for flat tires and a lack of filling stations willing to sell them gasoline might not be out of line . . . Maybe for a "whirlwind" to sweep them off to Oz?

RadicalModerate 08-10-2011, 09:20 AM Dang, dude . . . =)
Yes: If the Members and Memberettes of Westboro Babtist (misspelling intentional) Church have a dog that they haven't yet offered up on their Topeka Altar of Sacrifice--or turned into something resembling "Posole"--Toto too.
Roadhawg 08-10-2011, 09:37 AM As usual they will send women and children to protest. I feel sorry for the children.
RadicalModerate 08-10-2011, 10:02 AM You and I, both, amigo.
So . . . Here is a "uniquely" "Okie" solution . . .
(As Tornadoes/Whirlwinds are not "Uniquely Oklahoman" . . .)
How about . . .
We forget the whirlwind and "kill 'em" (metaphorically) with Kindness?
Like . . .
Cover all of Their--[Satanic Protest/Supreme Court of the United States Validated Placards] with a flood of plastic leis from the nearby Walmart? Akin to putting the flowers in the guns of the National Guardsmen ordered out for crowd control (semi-obscure historical reference).
Then, after that, invite them into the Church Basement for a covered dish lunch and coffee.
Oh. Wait: That's more Lutheran than Baptist. Perhaps bordering on (gasp) "Unitarian" . . . =)
In any case, it probably would more closely resemble that "Still Small Voice" that G-d reminded--was it Elijah or Elisha?--to remember . . .
earlywinegareth 08-10-2011, 10:46 AM Like it or not, their speech is protected by the US Constitution. However, seems to me an easy solution would be to move the service elsewhere, like on private land. Let them picket an empty church.

Why go out of your way to avoid them? I'm sure the sheriff's department could find them a nice safe place to protest about a mile away from the funeral. That's what's been done at several funerals they've protested. As a member of the PGR (Patriot Guard Riders) we used our bikes to drown out their shoutings and stood between them and the family with out backs turned to them and our flags and salutes facing the families. They want attention and we refuse to give it to them.

You mean . . . Like . . . Have The Whirlwind transport them to London?
P.S. To Roadhawg: Thank you for being part of The Patriot Guard. You probably don't know or fully understand what YOUR Voluntary Contribution of time, effort and motivation--regardless of "Political Affiliation"--to American Common Sense and Decency means to this country. (Or maybe you do.)
Roadhawg 08-10-2011, 11:17 AM I forgot to mention I hope and plan to be with the PGR tomorrow to honor this hero.
RadicalModerate 08-10-2011, 12:08 PM Amen, Brother.

OKCisOK4me 08-10-2011, 01:39 PM I figured it had something to do with beastly motorcycles...makes perfect sense with your screenname ;-) Also, thanks. Even though there's no cemetary at Henderson Hills and the service will most likely be inside, its still nice that you guys will be drowning those bastards free speech down into the ground!
RadicalModerate 08-10-2011, 01:45 PM May [G-d] Bless You, Keep You, Sustain You, Protect You, Give You Travel Mercy and Continue to Let [G-d's] Light Shine Forth From You in The Name of The Son of [G-d] (and in the related cause(s) of human decency, respect and charity).
Since I already said, "Amen" I won't repeat myself.
Yet . . . Thanks, again.

Just curious, RadMod, why you put G-d instead of God or god?

9-6..... gotcha!
ljbab728 08-11-2011, 10:52 PM I heard on the evening news that the protesters were only near there for a short time. They left when it started raining. Maybe God only hates America when it's dry and sunny. LOL
kevinpate 08-11-2011, 10:57 PM Perhaps the final chant as the rain began was "I'm melting, I'm melting"

I thought 10-4 translated "gotcha"

I skimmed the article provided by your link... 9-6 is also used in replacement of God, god, g-d.
