View Full Version : Clark Building
warreng88 11-25-2013, 01:40 PM All the for-lease space in this building is on the ground level.
The owners occupy the top two floors and there is a basement with a parking garage and possibly a rental apartment (future).
Gotcha. I was making sure this wasn't in reference to the area east of the Clark they the owners of the Clark own.

Praedura 12-03-2013, 11:20 AM Awesome Will, thanks!
This is definitely one of the coolest looking buildings in Deep Deuce. I didn't know it looked so sweet at nighttime as well. The exterior lighting really gives it a classy shine.
Especially love that last pic. This is one of the great downtown viewpoints. Now... if we could only do something about that ugly Santa Fe parking garage....
Those are amazing, Will!
In that last photo you can see the lease space (so far a dentist and kitchen design showroom) on the first level.

Pete's right. Great photos Will (and in other threads, too).
Hey, I've got an idea for the Santa Fe parking garage. Let's take some strips of semi-reflective metal and randomly place them on the exterior. Really make it POP!

Thanks Andrew!
Notice if the kitchen design store has any movement?
I didn't. I can try and take a look later today.
If you are down there, could you also look in on the fitness center and design studio going in Maywood Lofts?

I looked at those on Sunday. Walls going up in Koko. Not much, IIRC, going on with the other.
Urbanized 05-03-2014, 08:08 AM I just switched to a downtown doctor, maybe it's time to switch to a downtown dentist. That would all but eliminate my personal trips outside of my downtown bubble, and make most of my doc appointments walkable.
Does anyone know anything about this one? Or perhaps more importantly does anyone have experience with his hygienist? I've never had a cavity so all I really need a dentist for is cleanings.
^
I was thinking the same thing. Recently switched to Midtown Optical, thinking this will be a good switch as it is two blocks away from my apartment.
coov23 05-03-2014, 01:23 PM The fitness center is Koko Fit Club. They are all over okc.
shawnw 06-04-2014, 01:58 PM FYI, there is an open house for Dental32 on Thursday (5 June) from 4p-7:30p. Please come out and support your neighbor if you live in the area.

This is the plan for the kitchen & bath designer showroom for the front of the ground floor.
Has anyone noticed construction?

There is still a fence along the east side of the building as well as a small trailer. Appears to be under construction.

The Clark Building is FOR SALE!
I was told this by someone on this site but couldn't find the listing anywhere.
Very strange as the current owners spent years and millions building the top two floors into their private residence and to their personal taste.
Note the sale includes the property to both the east and west.
This is the Designer Lane space on the ground floor that is under construction for a kitchen/bath showroom:

Anonymous. 07-10-2014, 02:06 PM Saw some groups getting tours of the property yesterday, figured something was up.
KD needs to recruit one of his teammates to buy this.
Maybe Pau Gassol?? ;)
OKCisOK4me 07-19-2014, 06:58 PM Where did the information about the tours go to?

His hygienist Dominic is amazing. Highly recommended.

turnpup 07-24-2014, 03:00 PM Open house tonight from 8:00-9:30 and Monday the 28th from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
turnpup 07-28-2014, 12:19 PM Update on the open house I posted about several days ago: A friend of mine went to the first one, but then was turned away when she went back Thursday night. I spoke with the listing broker this morning. He said that due to the high volume of people coming through at the previous open house, they are now "pre-registering" anyone who wishes to attend. I was told, very nicely, that only serious buyers will be permitted to come.
Anonymous. 07-28-2014, 01:42 PM Yea I bet some joy-touring is/was taking place.
One possible buyer: Aubrey McClendon.
He was down there today taking a tour with his wife and son Jack.
Doubt very seriously Aubrey is planning to leave Nichols Hills but this may be for his newlywed son.
Intriguing, especially since there is land to develop on either side.
Also intriguing because McClendon is an investor in The Hill.
betts 07-28-2014, 01:54 PM He could buy it as a post game pied a terre as well. There are a few people who have done that to avoid the drive back home on game evenings.
Anonymous. 07-28-2014, 01:57 PM I think the current owners have moved most of their stuff out already. Maybe there is already a buyer.
turnpup 07-28-2014, 02:24 PM Wow, if it is for the son, I'd have to say nice "starter" home!

Classy. Are they going to build a separate "poor person door" for the help?

A lot of places like this only want serious buyers to attend. It's not a parade so that you can check out their house. I see no issue and think your statement was "classy" as you say.

Steve said in his chat today that Bob Meinders is buying the Clark Builiding.
shawnw 08-22-2014, 02:33 PM Interesting...
as a residence or as a perk for something else?
Architect2010 08-22-2014, 02:59 PM Pete or anyone else, if you wouldn't mind clarifying, does this sale include the land that OKSea will take shape on?
DoctorTaco 08-22-2014, 04:16 PM Interesting about Meinders. I assume this means he is no longer pursuing building a personal residence at 4th and Walnut:

Businessman Bob Meinders paid $3.75 million for the Clark Building, billed by brokers from Newmark Grubb Levy Strange Beffort as one of the neighborhood’s most unique and luxurious mixed-use properties.
“The overwhelming response to this sale showed us how much demand there is for high-end urban housing,” said broker Justin Wilson, who teamed with Andy Burnett, David Burnett and John Cohlmia to sell the property. “From rural oil money looking for a second home in the city, to suburban retirees interested in a change of pace, there is an obvious market for high-end, for-sale housing in the core that caters to demographics other than the millennials.”

Pete, Excellent job yet again on the map with graphics to nail down the location, renderings, and even the floorplans.
I keep telling people about OKCTalk and have taken to throwing in a, "It's much more than a forum, It's a one-stop destination for all things with development downtown and elsewhere - even old archives of the Oklahoma Journal!" I still get a surprise reaction, more often than not, when I tell people what all is available on this site. Many thanks, Pete, and again, just a splendid job.

John Knight 02-12-2015, 09:13 AM I had an appointment at Dental 32 yesterday and I was amazed. Not only is the office space stunning, but the staff is very polite. I can't say enough nice things about how nice and professional they were. I will be going back for sure.

Concur. Dr. Steve Truong is incredibly easy to talk to.
Anonymous. 02-12-2015, 10:31 AM I have made Dental32 my new dentist. Love the people and the place.
So clean and modern - doesn't have that doctor's waiting room vibe.

Agreed! First time in years I've felt like a dentist treated me like an intelligent human being worth explaining things to and weighing risk/reward with.
The top stories of this building have been a private residence since the renovation.
The owners of Dental 32 on the ground floor have now purchased the entire building and will be turning the top two floors into an event venue.

Anonymous. 03-31-2023, 07:50 AM That is interesting. I wonder if Dr Truong is actually going to live here primarily. I know he is a big fan of downtown OKC.
One recent change I noticed is that the parking lot directly east is now QR code '24/7 paid parking for non-Clark Building users'. Which has upset BlokBar pretty significantly. There is some pretty extreme signs posted all around it by Blok that state they are not associated with Clark Building in anyway.

vbnc5 04-02-2023, 07:08 AM Do they only own the concrete space or also the green area between the parking lot and the little private park?
