What: Tulsans telling other citizens 1. things they love about our town and 2. things we dream about that would make this an even better community.
How: Very soon, we'll provide a sign-up form on our website (www.whatareyouadding.com) where everyday citizens can suggest an idea for something they'd like to present at our event. Unless it's rude, doesn't relate to Tulsa or is otherwise not positive, everyone will be considered. We'll cram as many "Expressions" into the event as we possibly can. Those selected will require the submitters (YOU!) to show up, get on stage and tell your story. FUN! You can do it by just talking, by showing a photography exhibit, by including singers and dancers or some other performance art. Just tell your story and speak your voice! (details coming).
Complimentary food will be provided by some of Tulsa's favorite eateries and there's no cost to attend!
For now, be thinking of 1. what you love about Tulsa that doesn't get enough attention and 2. where we need to go as a community.
At the event, we won't just be throwing around ideas to ourselves. We'll have community leaders present to listen -- elected officials, corporate CEOs, nonprofit executives, foundation leaders and so on. If they hear something they like, they just might contact you to talk further. So bring your "A" game!
