Wanted to let you all know about an awesome opportunity that is available to everyone in Central OK (or further if you are willing to drive).
My organization, Keep Oklahoma Beautiful, is hosting 2 eRecycling events on Saturday, July 30. One will be at Marc Heitz in Norman from 7:30 am - 12 and the other in Shawnee from 8:00 am - 1 pm.
LG Electronics, Waste Management and Keep America Beautiful, along with local sponsors have made this event FREE and open to the public (you don't have to show a water bill proving you live in Shawnee or Norman).
Accepted Materials Include:
Computers/Laptops
Computer Peripherals
Fax Machines
Printers
Photocopiers
VCRs (not VCR tapes)
Home & Office Phones
Consumer Electronics (e.g. DVD Players, Alarm Clocks, etc.)
Televisions
Monitors
Stereos
Cell Phones
Unacceptable Materials Include:
Microwaves
Smoke Alarms and Detectors
Fire Alarms and Detectors
Thermometers
Dehumidifiers
Large Appliances (refrigerators, etc)
Non-decontaminated medical equipment
Any unit with sludge or liquids
