Why doesnt the News channels in OKC report on REAL news.
You can always tell when its a slow news day, when you turn on the T.V. and listen to stories about missing dogs...
Come on people step it up.

They do step it up a lot. When there is slow news, not their fault. They can report on other things...better than making up stories.

It's called a "human interest story." Look it up. The news doesn't always have to be blood and economics...other stuff is considered "newsworthy." But yes, there are slow news days, and so the soft news takes up more space.

I'm sure someone important will die or be killed in the next 8 hours, or something will be blown up, or some major economic whatever will happen in the next 8 hours, so never fear...you'll get "real" news again.

EVERY Ch. 4 newscast begins with "Breaking News", and the weather crew has become a joke. They are all fear mongers. Everything happening or going to happen in the next few hours or days is the biggest, fastest, hottest, coldest, longest, highest, lowest, strongest, most deadly whatever in the history of the world.

Years ago, the local stations lost the financial means to investigate and generate their own news stories. That's why everything these days is car crashes, grass fires, etc...
