Saw in the Transportation Commission site there has been a study and series of recommendations to add and expand taxi stands/ranks downtown.

1) expand the existing open taxi stand on the south side of W Main
Street west of N Broadway Avenue by removing the two (2) one-hour
metered parking spaces immediately to the west of the existing open
taxi stand (Ward 7);
2) establish a new open taxi stand on the east side of N Broadway
Avenue south of Park Avenue by removing the two (2) one-hour
metered parking spaces closest to Park Avenue (Ward 7);
3) establish a new, time restricted (6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.), open taxi
stand on the north side of Colcord Drive in the two (2) reserved
government vehicle parking spaces located 258 feet to 300 feet west
of N Walker Avenue, east of the Civic Center (Ward 6);
4) establish a new open taxi stand on the west side of Robinson Avenue
south of W Reno Avenue in the two newly constructed parallel parking
spaces closest to W Reno Avenue (Wards 6 and 7);
5) establish a new open taxi stand on the south side of NW 6 Street just
west of N Harvey Avenue by removing the two (2) two-hour metered
parking spaces immediately to the west of N Harvey Avenue (Ward
6); and
6) establish a new open taxi stand on the west side of Vince Gill Avenue
north of E Sheridan Avenue by removing the two (2) two-hour
metered parking spaces immediately to the north of E Sheridan
Avenue (Ward 7).
