Btw, my wife and I make around 140k a year and our house is worth 130k. We drive a paid-off 2003 GMC Envoy and a paid-off 2005 Kia Sorento. Be careful judging Edmondites as being snobby overspenders in debt.

Aw heck, I'm in North Texas now, accepted to OU for Spring '12, looking to relocate to the Norman/Moore area and looking for someone to hire me. Been driving around OKC and many of the outlying cities/towns, and not one of 'em looks as ugly, or boring, or dilapidated, or outdated as many of the suburbs of North Texas and, in particular, many, many parts of Dallas. I'd take any city/suburb I've seen in the OKC area any day.

Everyone has their pluses and minuses, but from my travels, the pluses of both cities, Moore and Edmond, far outweigh the negatives.

Well said, sometimes it takes an outsider to make us realize how fortunate we are. Edmond, Moore and Norman all offer things that help provide a quality life.

Wait 10 or 15 years... the suburbs have just had more time to mature and in some cases look outdated, as you say, in the metroplex.

Watching this "debate" is quickly becoming like watching two peole in a pissing contest while facing into the wind (and I say this as an Edmond resident).

I will drop it too after this post. If you think I'm bragging about money then your reasoning skills are terrible. The last X amount of posts between us have been about spending habits of Moore vs Edmond. I was posting to show that I live in Edmond and live in a "sh1tty" house and have two very old vehicles. Not bragging about money. Hell, my wife makes nearly 2/3 of our income.
