How much would it have cost for OKC to have inserted its name into this commercial? It's playing on all the sports channels, and getting a lot of exposure during the playoffs. I suspect Durant chose the warmups and shirt he's wearing on purpose. He's our best ambassador, and this team is giving us incredible exposure around the world. Again, we got a bargain when we built that arena, in more ways than one.
bucktalk 04-30-2011, 08:55 AM Cool! No...I mean....COOL!
Absolutely right on all counts, betts.
The great PR from the Thunder and KD is immeasurable.
UnFrSaKn 04-30-2011, 10:48 AM I also try to get as much of the city in video I do so that will hopefully be out there when people Google the city.
mcca7596 04-30-2011, 10:57 AM I like this one even more:

That second one is fantastic!
In our wildest dreams, I don't think anyone expected this kind of great exposure from bringing the NBA to town.

Careful, Betts. There are some folks on this board who think the NBA is running all the cool concerts off to T-town.
UnFrSaKn 04-30-2011, 08:57 PM What's the deal with the giant "THUNDER" sign on the arena?
SkyWestOKC 04-30-2011, 10:07 PM Since our arena doesn't have a name, and they need something there for context. ("Oh, that's the Oklahoma City Skyline and Arena I guess")

Less than $120 million.

And mourning the exposure loss of not having "Oklahoma City, OK" on the back of tacky band tour shirts, right between Omaha, NE and Little Rock, AR.
The greatest thing about KD is that not only is he a great advocate, but he's also a great community symbol. He rocks.

If only we could convince him to never use that silly hookem horns sign again. LOL
