I've had good experiences every time I've been to Joey's

I will definitely give them another try but my last visit there was probably the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant.

Their business should go way up when the Hart building is complete. And of course, there are lots of other projects in the area as well.

I believe the Hart alone will house 175 employees.

not doubting you Pete.... weird how inconsistent things can get

I really want them to succeed which is why I went in there twice during a one-week stay.

I also respect this is a locally-owned place and not a corporate chain and therefore management is always going to be less professional.

It is true that the Wedge is very inconsistent, but it usually is pretty good. I went again last week and they were training new servers..again. But their unprofessional service has never been a deterrent to enjoying their food, beverages, atmosphere, etc.

All too often it is a package deal...if one element is bad it can bring the whole house of cards down...only as strong as the weakest link...etc...how many more mixed metaphors can I throw in??

Ate @ Joey's for the first time a couple weeks ago.

The best pizza I have had in OKC to date.

I had only been to Joey's for a beer and one ill-fated lunch which was one of the worst service and food debacles of my dining life but tonight I actually went for dinner with friends and...

It was really, really good. We had the thin crust all-meat pizza and it was really great. Loved the crust, plenty of quality toppings and the just the right amount of sauce and cheese.

Certainly one of the best pizzas I've had in OKC.

My family of five frequents Joey's. Having only been in evenings, we've always experienced fantastic waitstaff and awesome food. They also deliver all the way up to NW 50th St in OKC.

I was pleased to see they were relatively busy last night, even though H & 8th and their 50 food trucks were happening.

I think their business has been pretty spotty but the development at and around 21c should help them a great deal.

Didn't we go here a few years ago after an OKCTalk meetup?

Yes, but I didn't eat that night.

Joey's is my husband's favorite for pizza so we go there a lot. It's is sometimes, but not frequently, quite busy in the evening. I'm hoping all the new development in the area gives them a boost. I think their pizza is quite a bit better than Revolve's, recognizing there is a lot of variation in taste.

Went last night before the Thunder game and as a an added bonus, just walked over to the game on such a beautiful night.

I love their thin crust pizza. Perhaps my favorite pie in OKC.

As I recall you had a really bad experience there years ago. Glad you gave them another chance and they had a chance to redeem themselves with you. It is one of my favorites as well. I really love the pink pasta.

I will go to Joey's sometimes before a Thunder game. Especially if I park on the street that way. Their pizza is very good. Way better then Knuck's in Bricktown. Better than Hogan heroes. The Wedge is pretty good but Joey's is probably the best downtown I have found so far.

Oh I forgot the new Revolve. They are good too. Joey's though more bang for your buck. Knuck's give me a sausage pizza with about 8 pieces of sausage on it. However their duck fat fries were pretty good but their pizza isn't the best unless you like greasy.

We love Joey's too and probably eat there every couple of weeks. They're rarely busy when we're there, so I hope there's a lunch crowd that keeps them doing well. Obviously all the development in Film Row is going to be really beneficial for them. I'm not a huge fan of Revolve. I like Knucks, but my husband (who is from NYC) really likes that thin crust at Joey's, so we rarely eat at the other two.

I really like Joey's, disagree about it being better than Knuck's. They're just entirely different types of pizza. If I could change one thing about Joey's it would be the sauce. Too sweet for my palate.

Been to joeys once and thought it was pretty good. Didn't understand what their Chicago style pizza was though. I love Chicago style deep dish and thin crust, and their pizza wasn't anything like either. So I was a little confused. Unless the server just got our order wrong, who knows. It's been a couple years though since we've been, so maybe they've changed things up.

They have good pizza , but they have always struggled with a terrible wait staff, going back to when they were at their first location as well.... Makes you wonder if it's an upper management problem.

Went Wednesday night before Jersey Boys on 1-13-16 and the place was packed at 6pm. Not a table to be found.

But, you can carry in food or Joey's Pizza will deliver.

Joey's is one of the most underrated pizza places in this city.

Agree. I’m also a fan of Pizzeria Gusto and Empire, but Joey’s has a completely different but delicious pizza.

It’s been years since we’ve been to Joeys but I don’t remember it being similar to NYC style pizza.

We went last night and I was glad to see it was busier than usual. I'm hoping their business will start to pick up as all of those new apartments start to fill up. I'd hate for them to close as this is definitely one of my favorites for both pizza and pasta.

And credit to them for being a pioneer in Film Row.

Joey's & FlashBack went in when things were still pretty empty and rough.
