I noticed that they have built a fence around the McCasland Field House in the last few weeks, does anyone know what is going on to this building? They arent tearing it down are they, it seems too historical to do that.

I saw the fence too when I parked there for the football scrimmage.
We would have heard something about it if it was being torn down.
They do need to create a path to the parking lot- though the bushes

From Sooner Magazine:

"The next phase of renovations to the Field House, scheduled to be completed by 2012, include locker room upgrades, additions of restrooms and concessions, and expansion of the wrestling practice facility from its current 4,500 square feet (420 m2) to more than 8,000 square feet (740 m2). Finally, all of the building's windows, a distinguishing feature of the Field House, will be replaced, along with the roof."

This will be a great improvement for this building! It has been becoming a sore to the eye lately. But question, where will this 3500+ sq foot addition go? They didn't extend the fence from the building very much.
