LOL Spartan 05-10-2011, 12:34 AM Heady play by Serge and Russ. What a game for Russ... and either he or KD still have to be clutch. jn1780 05-10-2011, 12:37 AM Well that win took some work. Don't know how they survived 3 overtimes in Memphis, but I'll take it. Dustin 05-10-2011, 12:38 AM I love you KD.. I love you so much. KD saves the day!! ljbab728 05-10-2011, 12:40 AM Whew. TNT got their money's worth tonight. LOL dmoor82 05-10-2011, 12:42 AM Best game I've ever seen!Just think if OKC could have held onto the game 3 lead and game 5 would be an elimination game! dmoor82 05-10-2011, 12:44 AM TNT just said that tonights game was tied for the second most ot's ever in a playoff game! ljbab728 05-10-2011, 12:45 AM Once again, KD showed what a class guy he is. In the post game interview the first words out of his mouth " I just want to thank the good Lord for the opportunity......". Can you imagine that from Lebron or Kobe? redrunner 05-10-2011, 12:49 AM TNT just said that tonights game was tied for the second most ot's ever in a playoff game! 4th triple OT game in 20 years from ESPN. dmoor82 05-10-2011, 12:57 AM 4th triple OT game in 20 years from ESPN. The #1 game that had 4 ot's had Syracuse in it,thats real old like ABA days! dmoor82 05-10-2011, 12:58 AM Once again, KD showed what a class guy he is. In the post game interview the first words out of his mouth " I just want to thank the good Lord for the opportunity......". Can you imagine that from Lebron or Kobe? Refreshing isnt it!and heck no I could not see LBJ or Kobe doing that. Thunder 05-10-2011, 04:43 AM Next two games at home? Thunder 05-10-2011, 05:34 AM http://www.koco.com/sports/27834753/detail.html Game 5 is on Wednesday night back in Oklahoma City. The winner of the series will play the Dallas Mavericks in the conference finals. What happened with the Lakers? Did they fail hardcore? We are actually ranked above the Lakers? I find it surprising that Dallas, Memphis, and OKC are above LA. If we win, we play Dallas for finals, so that means Lakers are already done. Right? Spartan 05-10-2011, 07:14 AM Next two games at home? No, next one at home, then at Memphis, then if necessary, back in OKC for the final game which would be game 7, if it goes to that many. The point is just first to 4 however. Keep in mind that what the Thunder did last night was battle against enormous odds. It was unlikely that they would have won in Memphis anyway. The Thunder had their backs up against a wall if they lost. But now the series is just tied. Somebody has to win twice more. G.Walker 05-10-2011, 07:47 AM To those who didn't stay up and watch the game last night, you really missed probably the best game by the Thunder all year. They literally grew up before our eyes last night, games like last night, are games that make you great. They showed true grit, emotion, and the will to win! My game ball goes to James Harden, Thunder Up! Kerry 05-10-2011, 08:03 AM To those who didn't stay up and watch the game last night, you really missed probably the best game by the Thunder all year. They literally grew up before our eyes last night, games like last night, are games that make you great. They showed true grit, emotion, and the will to win! My game ball goes to James Harden, Thunder Up! On that note - Memphis has the worst fans in the NBA. After only selling out 4 games all season, they can't buy the playoff tickets fast enough. But after three overtimes and their team down by 8 with under a minute to go they all head for the exits. What a way to disrespect the team. At least stay and applaude the effort. Win or Go Home is the NBA playoff motto - it isn't supposed to be guidelines for the fans code of conduct. kevinpate 05-10-2011, 08:13 AM ... What happened with the Lakers? Did they fail hardcore? ... LA won their first series, as did Dallas, OKC and Memphis. OKC is presently playing Memphis in a best of seven series. Dallas won its best of seven series against the Lakers by winning the first four games (eliminating a need for any of the other three games.) The winner of OKC/Memphis series will play Dallas and the winner of that best of seven series will be one of the two teams in this year's NBA finals. I haven't paid enough attention to the other conference to know who is most likely to end up in the final match up for their side of the brackets. kevinpate 05-10-2011, 08:16 AM To those who didn't stay up and watch the game last night, you really missed probably the best game by the Thunder all year. ... Sure sounds that way. I wanted to stay up, but Ms. Cpap sings one heck of a lullaby. I dinna stand a chance. td25er 05-10-2011, 08:17 AM This series is making me age faster. Stupid NBA. Kerry 05-10-2011, 08:19 AM This series is making me age faster. Stupid NBA. I have had two strokes and heart attack - and that was just last night. I had to get a defibulator installed in our living room and I signed up for life alert. Kerry 05-10-2011, 08:22 AM Thunder - try this. All questions will be answered. http://www.nba.com/playoffs/2011/index.html earlywinegareth 05-10-2011, 08:41 AM I'm too sleepy to post today...zzzZZZZZzzz. Thunder 05-10-2011, 09:05 AM Nice to see Thunder topping over Lakers. :-D Lord Helmet 05-10-2011, 09:18 AM I was beginning to think that it just wasn't going to be our night last night with the way they kept hitting desperation shots. We gained a ton of playoff experience last night. The guys are growing up quick! I still think this goes 7 games. FritterGirl 05-10-2011, 10:11 AM Down 17 already early in the 2nd. Eeesh. Smells like the team on the other side of the Mississippi wants it more and our guys have given up. And this is why I went to bed at the half, even though we'd pulled within 4. Given Saturday's debacle, where we gave up a 16-point lead going into the fourth quarter to end up losing by 10, I gave up and took my tired rear to bed. Of course, when I woke up in the middle of the night and saw that we had won, I kicked myself mightily for having given in so early. This will replay on ESPN classic for years to come. Dustin 05-10-2011, 06:32 PM Hopefully the Thunder can pull off a normal win on Wednesday. lol Thunder 05-10-2011, 07:21 PM Hopefully the Thunder can pull off a normal win on Wednesday. lol OH MY GOD!!! What time the game will start? DO YOU ALL KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TOMORROW?! Memphis is going to be scared $hitless! Jersey Boss 05-10-2011, 07:28 PM Once again, KD showed what a class guy he is. In the post game interview the first words out of his mouth " I just want to thank the good Lord for the opportunity......". Can you imagine that from Lebron or Kobe? Curious as to why these athletes never thank their lord for a loss? Joe Kimball 05-10-2011, 07:41 PM Curious as to why these athletes never thank their lord for a loss? I don't really have a direct answer for that question as posed, but I can say that he didn't exactly thank the Lord for winning. As I recall, it was for "the opportunity to play" or words to that effect. ljbab728 05-10-2011, 10:34 PM I don't really have a direct answer for that question as posed, but I can say that he didn't exactly thank the Lord for winning. As I recall, it was for "the opportunity to play" or words to that effect. Your exactly right. That was what he was saying. Thunder 05-10-2011, 10:40 PM Just wondering if anyone on here been watching KFOR, KOCO, or KWTV today? Just wanted to know if any of them was doing a story about the Ford Center (Thunderdome) and tomorrow's severe weather. Any plans in place? I'm going to bet that we will win tomorrow. Memphis will be traumatized with the tornado sirens and all. Possibly a real tornado on the path toward the stadium. Either way, the Thunder got the edge tomorrow and will for sure to win it. Like I said, guys, do not give up hope. Their losses only motivated them to fight harder and they did just that last night. It was a wake up call. Tomorrow is home game, so no problem, and the fans will extremely be riled up. Then next game in Memphis, win or lose, no problem. Win, great. Lose, then back to home court advantage. Think positive. We are doing just great. Dallas, erm, we can beat them the first 4 games (altho it was surprising to see Lakers lose out of Playoffs so suddenly). Eh, I'm sure we can take them on. Kerry 05-11-2011, 08:30 AM On that note - Memphis has the worst fans in the NBA. After only selling out 4 games all season, they can't buy the playoff tickets fast enough. Win or Go Home is the NBA playoff motto - it isn't supposed to be guidelines for the fans code of conduct. While Memphis fans were leaving the game with time still on the clock in the 3rd over-time, Thunder fans were making their way to the airport at 3:30AM. Here is video from Nate Robinson's cell phone (I think). http://www.twitvid.com/69HTT megax11 05-11-2011, 10:24 AM I'd say fold it up. I don't expect a win tonight here at home, and we will probably lose in game 6, thus ending the series. As much of a Thunder fan that I am, I just don't see them beating Memphis. Pack that banner up. There's always next year. Jersey Boss 05-11-2011, 10:28 AM Your exactly right. That was what he was saying. Gotcha. I was asking based on previous episodes of winning players doing this. In as much as the Thunder won, i was making a presumption that should not have been made. Kerry 05-11-2011, 10:48 AM I'd say fold it up. I don't expect a win tonight here at home, and we will probably lose in game 6, thus ending the series. As much of a Thunder fan that I am, I just don't see them beating Memphis. Pack that banner up. There's always next year. You do understand we have beat them 2X and in one of the loses we had a 16 point lead. OKC takes 3-2 lead tonight. jn1780 05-11-2011, 11:12 AM I'd say fold it up. Are you watching this game?!?!?! EAT. YOUR. WORDS. Megax11 had a dream that the Thunder will lose. Go Thunder! Lets end this in Memphis. Dustin 05-11-2011, 11:11 PM Hopefully the Thunder can pull off a normal win on Wednesday. lol My wish came true! Lets finish this in Memphis! Thunder Up! ljbab728 05-11-2011, 11:14 PM That 3 overtime win was fun but I'll take a 27 point win over that any day. jn1780 05-11-2011, 11:17 PM Just saw lightning hit the Devon Tower. Crazy. I think this motivated the Thunder. Someone go tell Bennett and friends to invest in a giant Tesla coil. LOL earlywinegareth 05-12-2011, 08:15 AM Saw good ball movement last nite for a change, plus everyone contributed scoring-wise. We needed that. Confidence is high in the Thunder camp, but the next game in Memphis could be [insert your favorite superlative(s) here]. Lord Helmet 05-12-2011, 08:47 AM I love a tripple overtime finish, but I'll take a blowout like last night every time. Kerry 05-12-2011, 08:51 AM I just wish we wouldn't start out so slow. Games would be much easier to win if we didn't start out by spotting the other team 6 or 8 points. I was also glad to see them keep the foot on the pedal when they got a lead. Too many times they have gone into trying to deliver knock-out punches only to see Memphis get back in the game. They did this a little bit with the reserves but by then the game was over (and the reserves actually made the shots). The starters still need to drive to the basket to get Gasol and/or Randolph in foul trouble. Memphis can't win if those two are not on the court at the same time (however, expect them to add a reliable outside shooter during the off-season so next year will be different). I am not sure how much longer Perkins will be a Thunder. It is really hard to play offense 4 on 6. Perkins, if you are reading this - dunk the dang ball if you are 5 inches from the rim (also no more dribbling). Pete 05-12-2011, 10:45 AM Here are four skyline shots featured in the last two broadcasts from OKC: http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/devon/skyline1.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/devon/skyline2.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/devon/skyline3.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/devon/skyline4.jpg megax11 05-12-2011, 11:03 AM I'm a fan of Thunder. I'm not a fan of sometimes biased refs, who do things like let Conley dribble a ball out of bounds and the refs don't blow it out of bounds. This happened at last night's game. I saw Westbrook get checked in the stomach. No flagrant. Sure, we won, but that doesn't make the officiating any better and less biased. Stan Silliman 05-12-2011, 11:37 AM The skyline starting to look a little unbalanced. We need another forty story building going up just south of St. Anthony's... for photographic purposes. Kerry 05-12-2011, 11:38 AM I'm a fan of Thunder. There are 100 fouls evey game. The refs only call 25 of them. They also call 25 fouls that didn't actually occur. The players know this and the coaches know this. If you want to go by the rulebook nearly every point guard carries the ball everytime they dribble. They are not supposed to hold the ball while moving but all of them do it nearly everytime. It is rarely called. dagnyt 05-12-2011, 11:45 AM I would much rather have the Thunder start slow and finish fast than the other way around. As for Perkins I think he was a mistake of management. However the network announcers keep saying that we couldn't do it without him. He hasn't shown me much so far.
