I'm seeing some posting for events at the Samurai Saki House, but I cant find a decent address listing. Some events are posted as 3034 N Portland and others 7502 N May. I used to love going to the Samurai Saki House! Only place in OKC that had live music 7 nights a week.

Yes, that was a great small live music venue with a fun crowd.

So it is opening back up in that strip shopping around McSaltys Pizza? Maybe the building right behind it?

Samari is indeed open again. Ichiro Takahata still owns the place. But it's not the Samari Saki House. This reincarnation is just a bar with live music, no sushi grill. It is not open 7 days a week but rather just has a limited schedule. I think they may be open Thurs-Sat and possibly have a biker night on Mondays. I don't think they open until 7 or 8 when they are open.
The new location is in the old Fritzi's building. On Portland there is an old bus with a stripper on it and "Club Raw and something else. Turn in there. It's right next to Don Quixote's. They share the place with a club (also only open a limited number of nights and a strip club. Samari is on the north end and you enter there. Cover is $5 and it gets you into all three places. The dance club is in the middle and the strip club is on the south end. The strip club is open 7 days a week but doesn't open their doors until about 8:30 pm.
Greg Zubek supposedly drops by all the time.

And there is a Facebook page for Samari Saki House. But it's mainly just stuff from the 90's, not an official one for the current venue.

Sounds classy. That whole shopping center needs to be demolished and rebuilt. The Wll Rogers park area could really be nice with some quality development.

What's the story with this Mr. Takahata? Has he been in the States for many years? Born there? Just curious.
It's kind of fitting the Samurai is located next to a Don Quixote's - a very popular discount outlet in Japan.

Ichiro moved here from Japan about 50 years ago.
