I guess I'm the odd man out here, but I've never known the Telephone Building without the microwave tower on top. It looks strange to me without it. That said, it does make the detail at the top of the building pop more without the tower, which is definitely neat. :)

A couple days ago I was going down Reno towards Downtown and I looked at the building and didn't even recognize it! I was wondering which building it was and I remember all the crap taken off it. Amazing how different it looks!

I never realized how beautiful that building was. The crap on top always drew your eye in, missing the building itself.

Same here; the nice art deco architecture never really popped at all until the leviathan was removed.

I sure hope AT&T decides to illuminate the crown. That would be awesome!

I guess a new logo is being installed? I can't really tell the difference other than maybe inverted color scheme.

Yep, and 'AT&T' is in all caps in the new logo.

Somewhere, a graphic designer is laughing him/herself to sleep.

Designer: "So, what are we looking for here?"

AT&T: "Oh, you know. Pretty much what we have now, but updated."

Designer, after a quick sketch: "Like this?"

AT&T: "No, no, you're not getting it. We want what we have now, just more different."

Designer: "More...more different?"

AT&T: "Now you're getting it!"

Designer, after drawing current logo (but more different, with the white parts blue and the blue parts white) and capitalizing the letters: "This?"

AT&T: "YES!"
