Thank you for sharing! That is as raw as it gets! lol mugofbeer 01-23-2011, 05:31 PM Isn't it a shame there wasn't a way to hold back some of tht flood water in some of those massive dry lake beds they have in the desert in Australia? I havent read about the damage this could cause the Great Barrier Reef with the mass of fresh water going into the sea or the huge amounts of silt. Imagine flooded land the size of Texas.... jmarkross 01-23-2011, 06:21 PM Isn't it a shame there wasn't a way to hold back some of tht flood water in some of those massive dry lake beds they have in the desert in Australia? I just said it's unfortunate all that fresh water couldn't be retained somehow in what is normally such an arid place HewenttoJared 01-24-2011, 07:18 AM Isn't it a shame there wasn't a way to hold back some of tht flood water in some of those massive dry lake beds they have in the desert in Australia? The Grea Barrier Reef is already a dead man walkin. Between acidification, heat(this is the warmest year for that part of the ocean) and increasing depth the corals are already on their way out. When you change ocean pH at a speed not seen since the KT extinction event(65mya) silt is not your major concern. |
