without the spaces around the brackets, of course. the video id is the code after "v=" in the url of a youtube video. for example:

to embed the video at url:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9JUqS4Q2A0

you'd type:

[ yt ]j9JUqS4Q2A0[ /yt ]

which yields:

j9JUqS4Q2A0
